That's it for now.
Check out our other series if they look interesting to you too, btw.

Contrast between these two pages gives me some serious tonal whiplash, well done

the juxtaposition of all the super childish gag comics and really lame filtered photographs is the perfect unsettling atmosphere for this.
I'm intentionally not looking up more from this artist/author because I prefer not knowing their usual style

>supposedly Ibahara himself
Is this meant to imply the possibility that it wasn't Ibahara who a)lived there and b)built the trash mountains? Hoarders who can act normal outside their homes aren't unusual, but the wording is strange. The EIC of his magazine didn't believe it was him either >>287495116. Did he get possessed, maybe by the painting? Are the characters turning into rod people supposed to represent him being taken over?

i interpreted it as him becoming part of the hoard, its said his family was know for hoard stuff, each character would represent a person of his family that went away through the hoard and he was going to be next

anon...you are not getitng an answer, this is a "mundane" series where they give us some intriguing things but there is no actual answer for most of it just speculation, the idea is to intrigue and perplex the reader

Interesting that the transformation starts with the two girls, spreads to the detective dog, then the fat boy. It might be a way a little kid would organize them in reverse order of similarity to the protagonist.

The "deciphered" dialogue sounds like some kind of alien excursion. Taking notes, arguing about when to go back, whatever that means.
The chapter ends with the titular character thinking about where to go >>287494960, suddenly alone in the panel.

I'd question that solely on the basis of the series as a whole having nothing to do with sci-fi elements so far, unless I'm forgetting something
Ghosts, demons, psychics, otherworlds and hell, but no aliens
