I wish that this series wasn't CGI and was running for longer. I can see potential in a lot of parts but the pacing was rushing with breakneck-speed and reducing the story to a bunch of fast-paced fights. The old Trigun anime had issues too but I loved that it was slow and that you had time to grow fond of the characters before the big reveals and deaths.

To be fair they do flesh out characters, it's just not the ones they should. We get trillions of character development scenes for the MC and his schizo gf and a lot of nakama building scenes with the squad but the second the MC goes moon rebel all character interactions just stop. He ignores his bro and doesn't mingle with moonies so we don't get character interactions either despite everyone but the MC interacting.
It's a shame too because the squad was well fleshed out and the moonies seemed even more interesting than they were but I suppose we had to focus on main romantic interest feeling bad and the MC being a wet blanket.

I'm sure I rambled this before but as an LR fan I'm just dissociating with Stargaze. The voice casting was good and Razlo's design at least is still Razlo (the fuck is with the luminous skin though? It really proved the point I saw people making about Stargaze not having the filter/rendering effects that Stampede did, making everything plain and flat). The fact Livio and Razlo got to exist is good and now people know they exist there can be more fanart and fic of them. But everything that's worth seeing and knowing about Livio is basically missing and Razlo was sped past and ultimately skipped when his characterisation even in the manga is easily misunderstood by speedreaders. There was no space given for him to address his issues or even develop his personal fighting style (in a series specialising in having absurd and interesting fighting styles), just a gag about him getting lost and then he's fine and able to do whatever. His whole purpose in the story got smudged into near nothing. I should be really upset but from about ep 3 onwards I stopped feeling like anything in Stargaze really happened or mattered. I've seen people absolutely losing their shit with it for ruining this and that, and I'm disappointed too, but I just can't feel that strongly because it doesn't feel like an actual thing to me any more. It's so weird. It's like I'm just explaining manga LR like I used to for '98 fans.

Pretty much all no homo stuff save for some throwaway webtoons to pass a fever with. The World Is Dancing MC is very cute in his intense autism, adorable faces, and it's neat recognising the foundational poses and expressions of the theatre he's working towards in each experience/lesson he encounters. The setting and art style lend themselves to a certain kind of casual nudity and slipping clothes that's pleasing to the eyes but not exactly service. Still I'm looking forward to the anime now. Also started Surviving Magic School, a Korean series that came up on fujobait lists, but so far I'm not sure if there's any specific ship for the lead. It's fun at least and the world building has more thought than the BL I tried (and one of those was set in pseudo ancient Egypt! What a waste), but nothing even slightly servicey about the art in either comic or novel. Caught up on free chapters of Special Civil Servant which was ass, ass, drool, tentacles, and ass, with extra excuses for the MC to end up naked, and a new homewrecking not-Kaworu to piss Eden off (tsundere bastard bought birthday cake and chicken? Wow, what a provider for his hungry lil Maru). I have no idea how it manages to be as entertaining as it is for an action title, I usually lose interest in battle series. Guess it's good at acting like it's high peril despite Maru always surviving. The other thing I started that might be worth looking at was by the author of Mushishi, but no homo no service, just laid back supernatural problem solving with a cat and female lead. I mention it purely because I haven't seen it talked about on /a/ and if you're unreasonably attracted to laid back guys who fix things, there is one such lazy fuck.
