Just marathoned the first two episodes of this show. It was KINO, especially the first episode. Anons weren't lying. Thank you for the recommendation.
Now, I have a question with regards to the second episode:
>Why did Aoteru declare he wouldn't give in to peer pressure even if it killed him? Wouldn't that be detrimental to his goals? He literally said in the previous sentence he'd suck up all day long if necessary. Isn't he contradicting himself? I hope Yoshitsune brings this up in the future.
Also,
Spoilers for the first episodeSaki wasn't quartered by horses for two reasons:
>There was a single streak of blood from the site of her execution to her grave, implying she was beheaded.
>She had a serene expression and her spine wasn't protruding from her neck. She would've had a grotesque expression with her spine protruding from her neck if her head had been violently ripped from her body.
The Tax Collector did phrase it as "she lost her hands, feet, and torso," implying she might've been quartered, but it could just as well mean she lost the rest of her body, which lines up with the rest of the evidence.
She had a peaceful, quick death. This was the best death Aoteru or Saki could've asked for, outside of old age.

marathoning 2 episodes is difficult in 2026 for low attention spams give some grace

Is there any fanservice in the manga? Especially for this busty old lady.

Communist narratives generally aren't about great individuals rising, but about the people rising collectively. The cult of personality around Stalin, Mao and other actual communist leaders has somewhat occluded that basic difference, but within western leftist aesthetics it has remained mostly stable.
There's certainly also a tendency to view any depiction of militant struggle, heroism or triumph as essentially proto-fascist. You can certainly find people who will call the Battle of Algiers covertly right-wing.

then drop it OP. no one is holding a gun to your forehead telling you watch this show, especially not when you make repetitive threads without having even finished/watched TWO whole episodes
>>
>>287506093
No but I read some of the manga a while ago and don't remember much, there are other source readers and I feel like they would have said something. I sort of like this kind of slight fujobaiting desu

Calm down anon, he didn't make this thread and that wasn't even a particularly annoying or repetitive post

I'm only going to be putting the Arakawa show on hold since it seems that isn't really a show that is best enjoyed weekly. And a big part of the appeal of /a/ is discussing anime with /a/nons lol, neither show are exactly trash either but have been fun to watch along with. I didn't even mention Botan Kamiina as another great show. That's a lot of anime in a given season

This season has been the epitome of "Hmm, alright, this thread looks alright, let's see what this is all about. Damn that was great, guess I'm watching this!"
I've already had that experience with 3 shows so far.
It is pretty odd for me, but I'll take planning to only watch a few shows but then picking up random shows that I wasn't expecting to be good over dropping shows I was anticipated for that ended up being disappointing or uninteresting or utterly lacking in direction in the first 3 episodes.

I was watching more than that late last season at the stage when I got fed up with the entire season sucking so hard and dropped everything, and that was after the normal seasonal process of three-episode rule failures and dropping boring things halfway. This season everything is on three-episode probation but I'm watching more than that. And that's to say nothing of last year where I didn't once suffer a cascade of disappointment and finished double your list each time. I get some nu-/a/nons don't actually like watching anime rather than shitposting in general threads, but they ought to just do that instead of pretending. They talk about discernment, but you literally just posted your list and I can see it

>Nippon Sangoku
Great direction, interesting setting, and the interesting kind of political autism mixed with a very odd tone.
>Megami Isekai Tensei Nani ni Naritai Desu ka Ore Yuusha no Rokkotsu de
Pop Team Epic if it was isekai, looks to be going for a unique artstyle every episode, very fucking stupid but still enjoyable and also carried by pretty good direction.
>Kuroneko to Majo no Kyoushitsu
Classic fun lighthearted ecchi adventure comedy, complete with constant pantyshots and a borderline-retarded FeMC.

>interesting setting
Does the setting of this show ever start making sense? Why is everyone larping as 16th century Japan beside the old general and his revolver-fu? Why does nobody else have guns when even modern crazies in Japan can build them, let alone the guns the cops and JSDF own? Why are there so many horses when you'd think they could make shitty cars running on biodiesel or ethanol? This kind of feels like the writer wanted to have the Fist of the North Star setting meets Romance of the Three Kingdoms but set in Japan.

>Why is everyone larping as 16th century Japan
Who wouldn't? It's that era everyone knows and likes from Rance in Sengoku Rance. Japan collapsed or some shit and they all collectively decided it's time to erp.
>Why does nobody else have guns
Folded katana is better than guns.
>Why are there so many horses when you'd think they could make shitty cars
Good point. I don't know if Rance had cars.
>This kind of feels like the writer wanted to have the Fist of the North Star setting meets Romance of the Three Kingdoms but set in Japan.
True.
I hope this answers your questions.
