The most popular isekai in nippon, Tensura, has at least 3 cases of NTR. I always find that kind of shit disingenious.
Yeah, sure, you realistically can't create a bicycle yourself from sticks and tree sap. But guess what? Neither can anybody else, every invention relies on other people to create the parts and figure out the details.
And obviously if you try to recreate telescopes in a literal jungle tribe, you're gonna fail, but that's not because you're dumb, it's because their level of development just doesn't allow it.
Despite this, a guy who knows future tech is definitely going to be useful if they just have access to a halfway decent craftsman who believes them and if they get some time to think about what's actually plausible to recreate. Knowing what technology is actually useful and their general shape and working principles is a huge fucking boon, a lot of inventing involves figuring out what's actually useful and going through failures to figure out which way will work. This knowledge basically places you at like 60% of the way to the goal already, as long as you don't try to create a computer or something similarly unreasonable. The details can be figured out by specialists with enough time.
The biggest issue here is honestly just getting a person with resources to trust you enough to give you a chance. Most people are just going to assume you're making shit up and it won't work, unless you prove yourself trustworthy.
Though of course a lot of isekai does make technological progress too easy.
Honestly, I still think the best example of how you could realistically do this stuff is Bookworm Part 1 and 2. People constantly complain about "soup" but it's generally pretty thoughtful about how you could actually get your inventions to come to market. It handwaves things a little with why Benno trusts Myne, since without that the story would just end, and some inventions are a bit questionable, but the general idea is right there. I still think it's the golden standard of "invention in isekai" story for me.
