You need to head into the dungeon. What race and class are you choosing? Who are you taking with you?

Bro it’s clearly OSR-flavored autism with food buffs enabled.
You get your standard fighter/thief/cleric/mage spread, demi-humans double as classes if you’re feeling traditional, and cooking proficiency is a mandatory secondary skill. Critical failures are replaced with “edible mishap” tables.
If we’re going full DM?
Tallman Fighter (high CON, average INT, hyperfixation on monsters)
Half-foot Thief (trap paranoia maxed)
Elf Mage (MP pool but can’t handle seasoning)
Dwarf “Culinary Specialist” (counts as Cleric but only casts via soup)
Alignment: Hungry Neutral.

It's probably like real life where you can get decent at anything but if you want to become really good in a domain you need to invest a big amount of time and efforts.
So yeah mages could probably get basic stamina
