I keep seeing people crying about the ending, and others still sad and traumatized over the last Reze arc movie. But I never took it seriously, I always watched/read CSM ironically as a funny, entertaining, light, and well writing story. It was never serious, I put it in the same category as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo; Good, but not meant for its story, unlike snk, Vagabond, Monster, etc.

It was just an adventure of a stupid horny teenager that got forced into a lot of trouble, and never learned from his mistakes. Part 1 was great, one of the best anime/manga, but part 2 felt shallow and chaotic, I think Fujimoto lost his mind and stopped knowing what to do, because it was never meant to be serious, but just a short story with an open ending.
