Genuinely feels like an industry plant. Never heard anything about this show or its manga, now I'm seeing a bunch of "interviews" about how the author cares so, so much about diversity, one or two faggots going on about it and a least a couple of "famous" anime youtubers shilling it saying it's AOTY. On the other hand, I've seen very little actual discussion about this show, but it keeps being pushed as AOTY. Also it being UNESCO approved is suspicious.

Most of the discussion happens in non-release threads.
The story is fairly slow paced, but the anime has gone even slower than the manga, it feels. There literally isn't a lot to talk about other than gawk at the animation quality, lol.

Anime Yotubers call fucking everything they watch the Next Big Thing, or the GOAT.
That entire crowd lives off of trying to stir up a hype cycle because otherwise no one watches their shit.
It is a small blessing that compared to video games, that anime culture hasn't been dominated by Youtube video essay watchers that just regurgitate opinions that were given by retards with microphones.
