This is why I sometimes refuse to engage too closely with a series' fanbase. I love Doremi but would only occasionally talk about it on /a/, and I tend to avoid any discussions of it on social media.
Same thing with my other favourite series, Maria-sama ga Miteru. Loved it, bought ALL the DVD sets, and rarely engage with the English-speaking fanbase.

I hear ya, but still. Probably some of the most retarded and childishly petty discord drama I've ever gotten into. The kind of fags that make 9/11 jokes but crumble and fold at the slightest bit of conflict, and are ironically very unforgiving and spiteful people despite that going against a lot of the anime's themes

Ended up getting blacklisted by everyone in that group, even some mutuals that started ignoring me

Thanks. This probably isn't the place to get super into detail about it, I guess it just came down to me choosing to befriend people who ended up being colossal pieces of shit. Fortunately I have much better friends now who are also into Doremi and that's played a major role in reigniting my passion for the show. Good Doremi fans do in fact still exist, thankfully.
