Ame is an extremely mentally ill loser that also wants to be a popular streamer with her Kangel persona. This anime follows a hypothetical playthrough where she succeeded and got millions of followers so now she has competition and influence, but despite her popularity she's still fucked in the head so right now you're just seeing her go off about her ideas on society and streamers and all that shit. Also in the game her "P" literally does not exist, she deluded herself into having an imaginary supporter/lover who guides her but it was always just her talking to herself, im not sure if the anime will deviate from that and make him real. The final unlockable ending of the game and the closest thing to a true ending has her realize that she can do things on her own without her imaginary P and she gets off the internet for once, its relatively happy actually considering her circumstances, but anime Ame doesn't seem to be at that point. The ultimate message is unironically "touch grass"

I don't get what his show's trying to do.

Episode 1 gave me the impression it was going to follow a genuinely mentally ill streamer like Shondo or Terry Davis, who through voicing that raw unfiltered anger and confusion to the world, particularly given their fucked up predicament and sense of reality, people connected with strongly and genuinely, causing debate even in the National Diet over the unsettling content. I suppose Joker sort of followed this plot.

Episode 2 felt more like Ai from Oshi no Ko where she's just perfect and beats the other channel in a contest, with a bit of surface level "we live in a society" posting thrown in. The point seemed more that modern media bad, like Oshi no Ko itself or Wake Up Girls! or something, rather than following Shondo progressively lose it over being a vegetable and wanting to die.

Seems it's less or not at all about the schizostreamer phenomenon and more a generic society bad thing.
