I can't believe this got an anime; it was a cute read and has a proper ending, on the other hand, so it's still miles above several other adaptations of its kind.

The fact the point of view is mostly the male love interest was actually a good move on the author.

I was wary of this anime at first because the synopsis reminded me of Alicia's show, which I thought had potential but went to shit once they introduced the magic school setting, but so far, it's fun. Pretty cute too.

You are forgetting that in a previous episode, Bertia more or less informed the prince that this heroine uses her light spirit to brainwash everyone to like her. That more or less soured his initial opinion, and then her improper advances towards him solidified her loss. She is a bad woman.
