Have you every accidentally ( or deliberately) bought bootleg or counterfeit anime or merch?

I bought a Miyazaki box set that turned out to be fake.

I just though of this after seeing all the posts on Japanese twitter shaming gaijin and Brazilians for pirating their manga.

I had a bootleg Rurouni Kenshin DVD boxset at one point. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of it. I was kind of young and wasn't sure about having bootleg merch. Pretty sure it was this.
