The maintenance was for a server upgrade among other things not disclosed, but it accidentally broke the part of 4chan that serves captchas and processes posts and reports, causing MVB to spend almost 3 days trying to vibecode a solution while dealing with all sorts of side effects (captchas not loading, gateway errors, Apache errors, posts getting stuck, duplicated posts, failure to upload files, indexes not being refreshed, etc.).
