How do they use the computer if none of the apps can read/write to the hard drive?

it's literally every single fucking customer. They just use their mac for years and never give permission to any apps.

i've never used a mac so idk how crazy that is, or how generally usable they are without giving permissions, but it does seem ridiculous

In macOS apps by default save things in specific directories, like phone apps. These requests must be for specific things like accessing a different location in the user's home folder or having full disk access.

>Full Disk Access
>Allow apps to access all files on your computer, including data from other apps (for example, Mail, Messages, Safari, and Home), data from Time Machine backups, and certain administrative settings for all users on this Mac.
