It is what it is. It's a polarizing topic. I see human life as precious at all stages and don't think sexual pleasure and self indulgent behavior justifies the killing of your own offspring.

There is a large difference between aborting, a child because it will have debilitating illness or will suffer and live a short and painful life. it is a mercy killing, and does have precedent throughout history.

99% of abortions happen before the fetus has the ability to feel pain or has any consciousness or awareness of the world. The ones that happen past this point are by and large emergency situations. I think it's pretty understandable for people to not assign the same moral personhood to something at that stage of development as a fully grown human.
