Oh, I see that's quite unclear from the FAQ!

People are expected to send proof of shipping in the card tier as well as the gift tiers, so please do!
If you don't have a receipt, it's also okay to send a photo of the card, or other things that might serve as proof.

I'll make the FAQ more clear for future years!

Still thinking about the previous year how I watched the thread for months but my match never posted even though I have super nice gifts even wrapped in themed wrapping paper and most items directly from their wishlist.

I would curse her with a Netflix anime adaptation with her favourite franchise, but it has already received one.

Thank you so much #5349 for the card match! i appreciate that u added a gift even if it was just a card match, will definitely use the headband in the future. I think the dog design is so funny and it made me smile. The candy was tasty and a new thing to try, as well as the apple nail stickers- such a thoughtful touch that I can already imagine the fun designs I'll create with them! I’m going to guess this is from my gift Santa, there was not a note to let me know- but Santa thank you so much! I love my gifts and wow.. a whole dress, I definitely was not expecting that. It’s so pretty with the roses and green gingham. The Moomins and Chief keychain- I have never seen him on a keychain! I put it on my keys immediately. It'll probably be done a bit differently from previous years, more suiting the small number of people, but if there's anyone left who still wants to do gift exchanges, I'll help make it possible.

Doesn't seem like the community is there for these anymore. Very little excitement or hype chatter, and very few posts of gifts. It would be better off it was put to bed if there weren't enough people with their hearts in it.

I agree, but even if only 2 people remain who want to exchange gifts, I'd help them connect. Even if it ends up being done in a way that doesn't resemble past events at all, maybe it'd all be done by email. And I don't think any new thread will be created, but if there's any desire to share things with /cgl/ this thread could stay up.

But from the looks of it, the event seems to not have much of a future. I was thinking if anything could be done for people to go back and look at old memories, when new threads will no longer be made for the event each year. There probably would not be much interest even in that though to be quite honest.
