And..... will you really not read something if it does not feature teenage (anthro) girls? What if those girls are 20 or above? Those are some hard questions.

Every single human being is supposed to have a dreamkeeper equivalent in Andurunna, and if a nightmare killes a dreamkeeper, the paired human being is fucked.
This is only in old extra material afaik and never mentioned in the comic and humans and earth are never brought up. Maybe thats a good thing since the story works just fine without it.

>>
>>153244344
>Every single human being is supposed to have a dreamkeeper equivalent in Andurunna, and if a nightmare killes a dreamkeeper, the paired human being is fucked.
And the reason for that is because?

No, seriously: are Dreamkeepers the personification of their human subconscious or something?
>>
>>153244995
Something like that
>Every individual in our world has a unique dreamkeeper counterpart in the Dreamworld. Existing entirely in their own reality, they have as little awareness of us as we have of them. There are no causeways between worlds, no avenues of contact.
>They are not mystically elevated beings, however. Subsisting in their own physical reality, they have much the same problems and concerns as us - food, shelter, companionship... Although our day-to-day activities and mishaps don't precisely mirror theirs, the overall arc of a person's life is intimately linked with that of their dreamkeeper's. They are born in synchronization, forge the same connections and find the same loves, and both dreamkeeper and human conclude life together upon their simultaneous fated expiry.
This is from the explore page on the website
Again, this is NEVER brought up again (ive only read until vol 5). If dreamkeepers were just furries with superpowers nothing would change. Theres no mention of earth or humans or any of this in the actual comic
>>
>>153245139
On Nightmares
>Thirsting from beyond time to undo the tapestry of creation, they level their nihilistic vendetta against sentience wherever it may be found - and desire exceptionally to wipe humanity from existence.
>Incapable of bringing form to themselves in our reality, physically butchering humankind is a fantasy beyond their grasp. But like a swarm of ravenous vermin, they voraciously scrabbled against the borders of our sphere until they found its weakest threshold... Our unconscious dreams.
>Lusting to penetrate that thinnest of veils shielding human consciousness from their malignant influence, only one thing blocks their touch: the spiritual bond between a human and their dreamkeeper. As long as a dreamkeeper lives, their human counterpart is protected within that bond - beyond reach of the nightmares. As long as their dreamkeeper lives... A condition which the nightmares are only too eager to alter.
So according to the explore page the Nightmares can reach humanity if they break down the wall that is the Dreamkeepers and their world. But in the actual comic nobody ever talks about this. The most we get is some vague mention of Void getting bored of Andurunna in the first Nightmare invasion and travelling to other dimensions

>Reflecting our distinctive character traits and subconscious aspects, almost no two dreamkeepers look exactly alike. They can sport fur, scales, skin, and color patterns spanning the rainbow. Some of the more common accessories include tails and ears, but dreamkeepers with horns, wings, antlers, and other garnishments abound.
yeah youre on 4chan youll either be an ugly ass pepe toad or some other kind of chud animal. maybe a rat or a worm. every dreamkeeper has superpowers too

I think we are not supposed to know about the significance of "Dreamkeepers" until more is revealed later. It is entirely possible it does not even matter what the original premise was, maybe what "dream keeper" means will be retconned in some way.

>>153246571
A retcon seems the only outcome at this point, but the authors have proven themselves able to draw humans so maybe they still havent given up on the idea
>>
>>153246571
>I think we are not supposed to know about the significance of "Dreamkeepers" until more is revealed later.

From what anon told me here, Anduranna's the Mirror Universe constructed by the subconscious of every living being (kinda like how Phantomile were created from the dreams of its inhabitants), and its purpose was to be the barrier between the Demons and the Real world (demons being Nightmares, who wanted to destroy the Universe because it gave them pain an misery). They made a huge mistake lore dumping something that have little to no impact of the story; otherwise, we could've have a human stranded in Anduranna as their DreamKeeper's shadow and the story should've been about getting them back to the real world where they belong.
>>
>>153247188
>a human stranded in Anduranna as their DreamKeeper's shadow and the story should've been about getting them back to the real world where they belong.
Sounds like the fanfic you need to get started on
>>
>>153247188
What anon told you is behind the scenes lore from book 1. None of that is in the story.
>>
>>153247687
So concept lore, not actual lore.
>>
>>153246571
>>153247687
>What anon told you is behind the scenes lore from book 1.
Basically, this is a conceptual lore for the world of Anduranna; it's obvious by then that this was scrapped to focus on the adventure of the cast since the two worlds angle no longer seem necessary for their journey.
>>
>>153231020
>>153231064
I think that aspect was scrapped since it's apparent that none of the lore listed in the behind the scenes has materialized in the comics at all.
>>
>>153248190
I'm just looking after fellow anons. If any backstory gets changed, it is better not to bitch about everything ruined forever, but have fun instead.
>>
>>153246571
Did they build up any significance of that title and its relevance to the plot, or it's currently stuck as branding?

Good things never take off, and if it takes off you would see it ruined like every other show. I always loved it since i was a teen, reminds me of those old disney movies that lacked the clean up and you can sometimes see the sketches.

Also i still have somewhere in my hard drive their their sketching method i got from the old website. And with my delight i just discovered they uploaded drawing lessons too, so i guess i'll stick with it: https://youtube.com/watch?v=HYaIUxD0QHI
>>

>>
>>153256901
Fun fact: the xerox method stayed for pretty much all Disney movies, and even Don Bluth used it (at least on NIMH). Thing is, the process became way better and often artists would try extra hard to be clean with the darkest pencil (final lines). But xeroxing drawings to make cels, that was not something Disney tried for a few years: they kept on doing it again and again.
