I have so much news since the last thread a month or two ago! I finished chapter 7 of UBOSS DAILIES! I downloaded OBS to record me drawing some pages and maybe even start doing livestreams one day. I recently was able to log into my old duckwebcomic account I made back in 2014 and now have a host site for my webcomics that dont fit on webtoons and tapas like UBOSS DAILIES: https://www.theduckwebcomics.com/UBOSS_DAILIES/

Now that UBOSS DAILIES is a real webcomic again I decided to make a short 20 page prologue that will act as a lore dump for new readers so people dont get confused while reading. currently 5 pages into that. So UBOSS DAILIES will have 420 total pages and main pages will still be numbered 1-400. Once I start the final chapter I will do a minimum of 1 page a day until the final 50 page chapter is done. So far I made a cover page that doesn't count towards the 50 final pages I will be drawing daily.

I will post the last 11 pages of chapter 7 then the cover page for the final chapter, then I will post the prologue pages I have made so far.

Tablet has been ordered, storyboards are being made, plot outline is done, working on name.

currently working with "The hollow mask"

The main character pretends to be human, but he's not very good at it. So he hides in the basement of a corporation working in IT. Then he is accidentally promoted to a project manager position, and his fragile mask of humanity starts to crack as the stress causes a slow motion breakdown. Then some of his... less productive... team members start to be killed off...

You can change the color profile any time you want and see the difference so default sRGB dont worry about it until you talk to the printer then adjusf.
if you’re sure it’s for print, it’s good to see how it looks in a CMYK color space (ie printable colors) but either way always test print and its fine

*he norse gods arrive on earth, leading up to the death of Gyges and the creation of the realm of chaos that Cottus and Copper live and hide in in later chapters. Chaos fucked up picking a fight with the hillbilly gods of the universe that literally just like to get drunk and fight and kill old gods like chaos for fun. Jotunheim is a world of ice and snow that chaos failed to conquer and had to run away from because the norse gods were to powerful! Even for chaos an all powerful old god that can create anything and bend reality to his will. The norse gods followed chaos to earth looking to finish the fight Chaos started with them.

Currently just "a bunch of vampires (that look like goblins) and their human page (as in, servant) have wacky adventures involving even worse monsters" but the intro chapter is getting bigger than I intended.
I don't actually have any clear plan beyond introduction chapter since I realized I would never actually be able to draw anything at all if I try to make the story first (I would just overthink the plot on and on).

That Bandit Chief is just a minor antagonist but I have to admit that he does look like a Warhammer Troll Slayer (even if he was actually more inspired by a certain traveling human looter from that setting).
Main vampires are from a less aristocratic bloodline so they look monstrous (or, you know, like goblins). There will (probably) be more traditional vamps later.

It’s always good to have a strong anchor character to design first, sets the tone for the others in a way. I’m glad my designs stick out, don’t wanna sound like a broken record but that’s another thing I really tried to study and improve on. As well as refining my character writing to give them a bit more quirk. I think some of my best designs are yet to come!

In this page Cottus makes the realm of Chaos, but Copper is not happy about it. She want's to play on earth with other Gods her age, but it's too dangerous with the norse gods reigning supreme on earth. I also tease the Jade emperor arriving on earth with his heavenly palace atop a stone turtle. (this is where the monkey king kind of comes from!)
