If I had to give my opinion, I feel like the show ruined his career, because thanks to High Guardian Spice's negative reception, many studios are probably associating Rodriguez of only bringing PR nightmare and don't want to work with him. Hence why he keeps looking for work after 2 years of being jobless likely being quietly blacklisted from the industry.
I imagine that after seeing things like KPOP: Demon Hunters, Turning Red or The Owl House become critically acclaimed with the first winning an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, Raye is probably crying because his series could only be met with mockery and hate instead of what came out a years later

It could be. It's a very fickle industry nowadays. Finding a job in it is complicated now, even if the person is already well-stablished and experienced, let alone if the show that they worked on was received negatively.
It's a shame, his art is nice. I think he'll find a spot somewhere eventually, maybe for Glitch (but perhaps not as a director, but as an animator or storyboard artist or something).

His site says he's working at Amazon in a similar role, so I'm gonna go with no.
You'd be surprised how stupid hiring managers are, and how little they care about your past success; experience is such a massive boon in their eyes that you could have a long, long string of colossal failures and still land a job.

Ironically, I'm 99.9% sure it wasn't the show that did it. A few months, he dropped a giant vent about how a Warner bros show he was working on was cancelled in the big merger and went total emotional honesty on how upset he was with higher-ups and the detached corporate handling of his work.
NEVER do that shit on LinkedIn. Anything you post on LinkedIn is gonna be used as a measure of how nice you'll play with corporate. People talk so soullessly there for a fucking reason, because potential employers are watching and not acting like a good little drone hurts your chances at meaningful employment.
Seems to be the pattern with Raye in general, he's not capable of working within limitations given to him. They give him a shoestring budget? He stretches it and fails to write/run the show around it. On a job hunt on LinkedIn? He uses it like regular social media.
He can't into the corpro

The corporate side of things.*
It serves as a cautionary tale. You may be entering the artsy industry you always dreamed of but you're entering an industry. That means there are indeed detached corporate entities overseeing you and your projects are made on their dollar.
The more you look at the HGS story, the more you realize two things
>Crunchyroll barely supported them to begin with (see: The trailer which the entire crew thought would be a behind the scenes bonus feature) and threw them completely under the bus at its own convenience after the trailer backlash
>This only happened because the HGS team and Raye in particular were naive and just plain dumb enough to let it happen.
Crunchyroll very clearly looked for talent that would be cheap enough to test the waters on the concept of whether or not their audience would follow western made productions. Raye was so excited to see his Tumblr webcomic turned Little Witch Academia ripoff get made that he failed to see writing on the wall.
High Guardian Spice, upon the release of that trailer, served its true purpose, gauging the reaction of the subscriber base to test for reactions.

The fact that Crunchyroll would sabotage a group of people like that is oddly satisfying

A lot of women just don't think being straight is fashionable, they are straight but they'd come up with word salad to claim other wise (claim to be bi but only date men for example). I wonder if they are naturally inclined to be liberal/left or they just happen to be more receptive of propaganda.

Sadly no, but having hefty heaving sweater puppies would have made the series way more watchable.

Say what you want about the Thundercats guy or the Primos lady but those at least still work on the industry, Raye however still cannot find any work despite being friends with SBA who works at GLITCH which makes the blacklist theory very real.

I had some details wrong but you absolutely do not post like this on LinkedIn.
It's hard to explain, but that part where even alludes to the idea that WB were at fault for being unprofessional in communicating a project's cancellation is something you can't fucking do on LinkedIn unless you hold a good rep. Combine that with hinting at mental health issues like depression is also a big no-no.
Using LinkedIn, you always keep in mind that every post you make is gonna be seen by a potential employer who wants to fine comb and evaluate you. It's why everyone on there acts like such a fucking drone, because the goal is to portray yourself as an agreeable worker with a can do attitude and just sell corporate on that.
My own guess? Raye might have some kind of soft blacklist for emotional behavior and complaining.
We often think of "the incident" or some kind of serious allegation which led to some kind of blacklist but, especially in a system like Hollywood, the majority of workers who get that kind of treatment really just need to make the wrong people upset, be hard for the wrong higher ups to work with, and then its about not being able to have references when someone's called

His Linkedin says it the WB project was for preschoolers about a DC IP. I doubt he had some issues with James Gunn who is making animation part of the DC Studios label specially with the DC Elseworlds branding

Yaoi is to women what AGP is to men for the same causes and with the same consequences.
Spending so much time without the opposite sex your brain try finding ways to simulate its presence in your life.
If left untreated. You turn into your own gf/bf

Some of the people who lie to artists have good intentions, and just don’t want to deal with being the one to tell them what they really “agreed” to or see it in an optimistic frame. The industry would run out of young labor if they didn’t see corporate churning as a cultural rite of passage.

Snapdragon genuinely aged hilariously on arrival.
>Can't take it as a man? Can't into masculinity? Transition, you fucking pussy
I can never not look at "trans headcanons" and the evidence is always just a combination of basic insecurities and not completely conforming to gender roles. And then that's the crowd who will turn around and lecture about gender roles and conformity

yeah, it was one of my sore spot when it comes to the story, because I resent the implication that only women have genuine emotions and friendships based on their conversation about it.

Keep some of the gay shit. It's a lot more palatable when it has four huge titties smooshing into each other. 100% right about the lore, though. They really should have put more thought into what separated Old Magic and New Magic, since an entire work of fantasy can hinge on the quality of its magic system. Brandon Sanderson's career hinges on that.

only incidentally, because she's drawn with big boobs, so I don't having to think about particularly titillating none-pornographic scenarios and spicy parings, she can be just be hot by herself.

Deciding to do animation at Tisch which has no animation track then expecting to be accepted into studios ruined RR's career.
Raye's explanation for doing that when I asked sort of made sense, but it was a hell of a gamble.

I feel bad about that, I am considered paying him commission rate for it because he's fallen on hard times recently. Although I'll just donate to the cat's vat cost instead.

Just seems like they should have kept their cock warmer shut amproduced a few smaller works that were more inline with what was popular with normies and played the mindless drone better.

Damn that came off harsher then I wanted. The biggest problem is that thry aired dirty laundry in public and is at heart earnest. This is an industry of sociopaths and liars.
They would get chewed up and spit out if they didnt have the right connections or someone to link with that will help act as a manager/pr agent
