Only I remember...Eden's Trail.

You can find plenty of forgotten comics
The REAL interesting stuff is forgotten comics that have actual history behind them
Pic related was hyped up to be the next big thing

I think he was only a co-writer, this was more Steve Uy's project.

Bunch of kids get superpowers after a big light in the sky, every time one of them dies the rest get more powerful, turns out telepaths are a bad thing, the government is both right and moral to heavily restrict superhumans, everyone gets superpowers briefly after the superhumans have a war against themselves, world peace is declared, the last surviving superhuman rockets into space to start the process over on another planet.

I was big into the Ultraverse. I remember Firearm. I didnt actually read the book but he guested in others. I collected Prime, Mantra, Nightman, Solitaire, Freex, Sludge.

Are the Ultraverse comics worth reading?

The writing was particularly edgy. I cant believe I read them when I was 10. But there's some brilliance in the first year. Norm Breyfogle did 14 or so issues of Prime. Aaron Lopresti did great work on Sludge, Kyle Hotz on Night Man, Jeff Johnson on Solitaire. Steve Gerber's Exiles was neat.

It was a tightly connected shared universe.

You're right! I don't remember this at ALL!

I remember it. It's weird because it was so boring and forgettable that I remember it because of that. It's also what made me realize James Robinson is kind of a hack who made one good comic

Yeah I'd say so

And this series was praised.

It was?

Well, it's definitely a relic of the 90's. I just find it funny even if Marvel/Disney wanted to used those characters, they can't use anything created by Gerald Jones or Mike Barr.

I remember this comic and I enjoyed it for the most part, though the pacing was a bit strange I thought
