It means digital piracy is okay because you're not taking anyone's property.

Some pirates! They don't even visit Boston in the Fall.

It means what it means. Realistically, how are you gonna fit the entire building on a ship? Much less carry it from the ground?
>>
its okay when one piece does it
>>
NOT ALL PIRATES
>>
>>153262947
No, see they got that all messed up it should read:
>"A good pirate(?)Never(!)Take another person's property!"
That "s" was just a typo.

Digital ownership is a thing yo
>>
>>153265350
Yeah and the "owners" still have their copy of the stuff that's pirated so nothing was *taken* from them

Not how it works matey

It means they wanted to sell pirate-themed crap to kids without encouraging anything like real life pirate behavior because accuracy is always second to money money money money MONEY MONEY MONEY GOTTA GET DAT MUNNY!!!!!!!!!!1!1! MORE MUNNY!!!!!!!!1!1! MOAR MOAR MOAR!!!!!!!!11!!11!! PRAISE MAMMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!1 And also parents would be outraged if a plastic crap commercial in disguise said "Hey kids, you should totally steal and murder and rape 'cause that's what pirates do!" The whole point of plastic crap commercials in disguise is keeping kids quiet, happy and out of trouble so parents don't have to do any actual parenting and can do what they really want to do, drinking adult grape juice and playing the no pants lying down wrestling game.

Don't you just love the mental illness factory we call society?

Oh it makes sense now, there was some sea dust on the parchment.
>>
It being literal as in a “good hearted pirate” reminds me of how one piece was originally going to divide pirates into literal good and evil faction types
>>
>>153265366
The assumption here seems to be that because the copy comes at no cost, the original must have no value either.

>without encouraging anything like real life pirate behavior
Can't have US media teach kids about unionization, democracy and effective insurance policy, yes.

Or about the crew tossing the boss in the brig because he refused to let them work or pay them according to rates they found agreeable.

Kids like to play as things, making sure they don't fall into criminal acts is a good idea.

what is lost when a digital thing is copied?
nothing
you can say they lost a future sale but that's speculative market entrapment
a seller is owed the future sale they're opining nor are they injured when their entitlement continues not to happen
a person wiling to go through all the steps to steal is not a person who might prospectively buy
perhaps if the genuine experience was so good the theft was just excess work
but it usually isn't

They mean a smart pirate. Another person's property like a big house is too big and inconvenient to bring onto a ship. Even if you could, digging it will be an even larger herculean task, you'd be shot point blank by the time you reach 6 feet

Apparently the show has a weird view on pirates in general (I watched a "history of Captain Hook" video that briefly covered it), according to it pirates are meant to be adventurers discovering things ans finding buried treasure (nobody brings up how or why there is buried treasure, it just exists like it spawned in) and Hook is a weirdo who is corrupting the pirate code.

Even his own mother tells him off for not being a true pirate.

It's exactly how it works
>>
>>153266384
Exactly. We need to teach kids to sit down, shut up, and let the grownups run the world.
>>
>>153267009
The whole NTF thing was about pretending they created something in a digital copy that is property that can be stolen. But since it can be copied anyway, it's just idiots playing pretend.
