Did the decline of Marvel/DC action cartoons (aside from outliers like X-Men '97) contribute to the schism between comics and cartoons fans?

Probably? It made it so the casual and biggest audience only really had movies for reference past a point.

surely

It certainly didn't help matters. But I'd argue the biggest damage is cartoon fags being the worst kind of degenerate freaks who can't help but make a shitty thread every time a moronic idea enters their heads while flooding the board with complete tripe. You spend a minute looking through the catalogue and then ask why separate boards aren't needed.

Yep, and you used an image for one of the most obnoxious cartoon fan bases at that

If anything comic fans gravitate to the cartoons because the comics were actively hostile.

When the blackrock types, lgbtqa, and modern nep hire comic creators were brought in it all went to shit across the board

TTGo is sadly enough the only consistently inoffensive comic based cartoon left.

IDK my nephews watch the new snoopy show and that's pretty fine from what I can see.

It sickens me that that newest Spidey cartoon went for a cel-shaded CG animation style to cut costs instead of keeping to 2D. Even rigged 2D would've looked alright

comics aren't hostile, comic book writers want you to get hooked by the first issue so you'll come back and buy the next issue

you can just read comics that aren't about trannies if trannies bother you that much. or read older comics from the 2000s and earlier which is what most comic book fans do anyways. There aren't any cartoons right now that match the wild creativity of indie comics and the ones that do exist were like ten episodes and came out in the 90s. I'm never gonna run out of good comics to read.

Making people hooked with rage bait was the thing for decades. Which helped ruin comics for comic fans.

I never said anything about trannies or homos. I read vertigo and alt comics and even fought to defend queers and other races and female rep against others for years for fucks sake.
But its gotten out of hand and is openly hostile and is sociopathic mean spirited supremacy now.

Its not fun, interesting to read and morally evil now.

nah it's just modern cartoons are even worse than modern comics so they attract a worse fanbase

I think the most recent superhero cartoon I watched was Brave and the Bold and that one justice league cartoon with Martian manhunter. Young Justice season 3 was shit cluldnt get past 1 episode.

It always fascinates me how many animation “fans” there are who know absolutely nothing about what they supposedly enjoy.
