...reviving this thread with a realization: there were d/orses long before (>>11473130), and they were in All Tomorrows.

Mantelopes are literally d/orses but depressed, constantly lamenting their long history with only their oral traditions to keep.

...huh, funny how that works. d/orses are fuck-happy brainless because they're lost in the moment, while mantelopes are weepy as hell because they're cursed to remember. And sing about it.
