These videos are always so hilarious because it's a bunch of people playing dress up filming tiktoks with their friends over a weekend before going back to their boring lives the rest of the week
But indians see these videos and lose their minds
>>
Yeah, I'd discuss here but I need to actually see some old money inspo pics. It's clear that OP doesn't really read the threads or engage with anyone or even learn when people tell him when he doesn't know what old money is, so I'm setting my expectations low, but this is more for anyone else reading.

You retards on this board have no idea what you're talking about, do you? Indians have been wearing actual "old money" clothes longer than anyone alive today in the west and especially America. In fact, half of these clothes were invented in India, like the polo shirt, khakis, Jodhpurs, fabrics like seersucker, Madras, Calico, or dungaree (which later became denim), etc.
Indians never stopped wearing menswear, unlike Americans and westerners who completely switched to jeans, t-shirts and shorts. Wearing dress pants and button up shirts isn't "muh old money" to Indians. It's just regular adult men's clothing. It also helps that India has tailors on every street, so people can get menswear for cheap in their exact measurement.

Neither the game of polo nor the polo shirt were invented by the British. The polo shirt was adopted from the local Indian outfit that Indians wore while playing polo.

Old money is just menswear, retard, and it's the first globohomo style of fashion. It's not "white people" clothes. It's colonial era clothing invented by taking elements from every culture from across the world and was worn by everyone in the world. Actual white people clothes are ethnic European outfits, each unique to a European country/ethnicity.

You fags don't seem to understand why they like "old money" style in the first place. It's not that they think it will make them look rich, but that it's associated with people who don't give a shit about fashion trends and consumerism and instead value a timeless style and quality. A lot of people are consciously or subconsciously drawn to that because it makes them feel free and independent.
People want to look good (which is what fashion is ultimately about), but also don't like the idea of constantly being manipulated by the fashion industry into consooming cheap, low quality, overpriced slop every few weeks and months. If they're going to pay a high price, then may as well buy something that's high quality, durable and timeless. Hence, "old money".

When they say non-washable, they mean not machine washable. If you really want to wash them and not give them for dry cleaning, then hand wash them gently and air dry them. Clothes like that are usually made of expensive wool or silk. You don't throw that shit in the washing machine. But if it's cotton, linen or polyester slop, it doesn't matter, but do it on gentler cycles.

Top loader dryers are better. Unlike front loader dryers they don't throw the clothes around. They instead use centrifugal force to press the clothes against the tub's wall and squeeze the water out of them. So the clothes don't get damaged much.

Front loaders work on gravity, not centrifugal force. Most of the force is downwards even during the high speed spin cycle, so the clothes are just thrown around and dropped to the bottom of the tub. In top loaders the force acts equally on all sides horizontally, so it's nowhere near as violent and the clothes just stick to the walls of the tub even after the spin cycle has stopped.

It’s about reclaiming 1930s menswear for the younger generation and making it our thing kind of. It was never actually about ivy legaue or whatever. That’s just the name. You’re autistic as fuck and dont get it.
When Gen Z reclaims classic menswear were being counter culture and making it our own thing.

It’s in a little tube case. You can buy those or little breast pocket sized cases. I personally use a leather pocket sized case that fits 2-3 sticks and if I’m bringing more I use one of those pelican style cases. Actually, the pelican cases are like the best cases you can use for a cigar because they’re so sturdy.

Probably because they look like dress pants in every possible way, because they're from a time when everyone wore proper trousers, even workers. The only difference is the material and thickness of the fabric, which most people don't notice.
>>
>>18671609
But that’s not the same thing. That’s essentially just the button-down collar which is in a button-down shirt like an oxford cloth button-down which actually was the shirt used in polo. Now what we refer to as a polo shirt is actually a tennis shirt which they then adopted into polo.

Depends on the construction. It can also be dry-clean only when you have a lining, especially when the lining and the shell are 2 different fabrics which might shrink at different rates. Or it could be depending on which dyes were used.
Also be very careful when washing wool. If it's washed by machine it absolutely needs to be done on a delicate cycle and in a mesh bag inside-out. Even then I'd be careful with wool. Doubly so for cashmere. Pleats will probably also need to be re-pressed.

Polo -> go for a knit polo and/or be in shape. maybe even a less common feature like a johnny collar knit polo.
T-shirt -> don't wear one outside of the gym or pajamas or something
Button-down -> maybe try linen in summer for more casual, or OCBD and jeans or what about short sleeve button ups in summer (maybe with a camp collar. could be linen, or other).
also for both 1 and 3 -> long sleeve knit polo! if you are in shape (not fat and have some pecs. don't need to be jacked with huge pecs and abs, but needs some pecs and flat-ish stomach) these look amazing!

Lmao stop we wuzzing you filthy polchud. Indian civilization predates huwite civilization by several thousands years. Most of Europeans were uncivilized barbarians until the Romans "civilized" them, and then went back to barbarianism after Rome's collapse. The only reason why Europe is where it is today is thanks to colonialism.

No clue, but Spier & McKay (if you are in USA or Canada, maybe not worth it further away after due to shipping/import taxes) have a similar knit johnny collar short sleeve polos like that in linen-cotton or silk linen (I have one of these and I don't understand silk linen it's weird. not bad but... why? silk's sheen is cancelled by linen's roughness) and silk-cotton (nice but not sure if it's worth the price difference over regular cotton). Just size down to get a tighter look like that image. They used to have a sand colored one like the top right in linen cotton but that was from a previous year.
Actually looks like right now just in cotton and cotton-silk. Those others were from previous years.
I've seen long sleeve johnny collar ones at Banana Republic too in Merino but not short sleeve.
Honestly just look at your usual retailers for a "johnny collar polo". Knit polo ideally they tend to be nicer than pique polos.
