By it being very subtle. Maybe a close up of a character or a cool pose. The purpose of wearing an anime shirt (and probably any merch shirt) it should be to signal to those fans that you're also a fan and for people that don't know what the series is about to see it and say "oh that looks cool, wonder where is that from?" But if you're wearing a shirt that already has the name of the series "DEMON SLAYER" with the main characters in the background, then its cringe cause you're just a walking billboard.

If graphics tees are already a nono then it is literally impossible. To me graphics that are there just as a design theme like a stripe or pattern etc whatever. Nothing else really flies.
