Apologies for being new since I almost never post here, but I seek counsel:
My Moondrop Chu II very occasionally buzzes a bit on the right unit, but it only happens like 0.001% of the time so I'm not too bothered. But what's the cause? Faulty wires? I literally only just bought these Chu II like 2 months ago, so it's still covered by warranty. I did accidentally drop my Chu II on the floor from table height once, but that shouldn't have done enough damage to cause this, right?
Please help /iemg/!!!

From music or on its own? Does it happen on all devices and tracks? If it's on its own and only on PC you could be touching something that creates a ground loop. If it's just one device/track that device/track could be shit. If it's everywhere then you probably broke the driver.
>>
>>
>>108604830
It happens on its own, when nothing is playing.
So far it only ever happens when I plug it into my laptop, and has never happened when I've used it with my PlayStation Vita.
>you could be touching something that creates a ground loop
I see. I could try and recreate it to confirm.
In any case, thanks anon!

I love the form factor of my Sony WI-C100 and they are pretty much all I use outside. The sound quality is shit compared to my IEMs but I like everything else about them. I prefer these style of one cable earbuds over the TWS style and nobody seems to make high end ones. What alternatives do I have if I just want something wireless I won't notice when I am working out?
>>
>>108607055
stock cable with plastic 2pins? binary made me buy audio cable once, unless they upgrade to metal im not buying stuff from them. Build quality? dynaquattro desu felt really cheap but i was spoiled coming from aluminium shells. Atleast they are really comfortable in my ears.
>>
>>108607070
i actually dont mind the stock cable, it's light which compliments the earpiece being really light and comfy despite feeling substantial. personally dont think it feels cheap, though only time will tell how durable it is/will be.
for how much i paid (225 with coupon and coins) i'm satisfied.
>>
>>108607081
is it hollow shell? binary seems to hit lower pricepoints than rest of the competiotion and i think build quality lacks bit of polish.
Same with dynaquatro, stock cable is nice and thick but conectors are plastic 5usd shitbud tier.
Shells are nice, light and comfortable but under the light it looks like really thin hollow resin. I bougth dynaquattro on sale too so im fine with it.
Its just not that dumb proof like i would liked to be.

doesnt seem to be and doesnt feel hollow, looks like there's a solid resin layer there. it's kinda packed and it's relatively small so there really isnt much space.

>>
>$50
>music, calls, running
I like bass, I never tried ANC, extra IPS or whatever against dust/humidity for running would be nice
>I listen to orchestral, hardstyle, classical, jpop, metal
>I used EDIFIER in this price range for a long time because they had excellent battery and seemed quite robust while having good enough sound and isolation
as usual, I can't fucking decide on what to give up for what I can get, so I'm stuck with 5 options currently:
>redmi buds 6
>moto buds bass
>edifier x5 pro v25
>baseus bowie MA10
>QCY HT08 MeloBuds Pro ANC
please respond!
thank you

KBear Mirage is pretty good. I like to think of it as a better Orchestra Lite; strong isolation while still vented, really good comfort but in a more compact shell, pretty faceplates, and a relaxed tuning that isn't weird in the midrange.
I approve, measurements coming soon but nothing out of the ordinary for now.

I'm looking for a small music player to go running with. Is the FiiO / Snowsky build quality any good?
They're releasing the Echo Nano at the end of the month and I'm thinking of buying it.

The Echo Mini is also nice, but it might be too big to run with.

Speaking of CD players, I was browsing this random website for new items and I saw this, but can't find any info on it on the internet. Did they just leak a new CD player on accident?

Cheap Sony MDREX15LP. They worked well, but I'd like something with a more bass and a stronger cable.
>>108615691
The FiiO DM13 and DM15 look nice, but they're expensive.
Do you like the old Sony Discman? You can find them on Facebook Marketplace or eBay for <$25 with free shipping

>but they're expensive.
The problem with those is not the cost, but the fact that they're fiio.
>Do you like the old Sony Discman?
No, that's how I got tinnitus. More importantly I want a portable player I can also use as a transport. The Shanling ones are nice, but I don't fuck with tubes, plus they have high output impedance allegedly. The DUNU one is the best, but there's no carrying case for it, because it's not really portable.
You could get a cadenza.

I want a portable music player because I don't like using my phone for things
I want the 2.5mm because that's what my S12 Pro, my main IEMs, use.
I want bluetooth that's good enough to leave the player on the ground and not disconnect when using wireless IEMs rock climbing.

Lots of KZ in my country, Castor, I found the kinera celest wyvern and Moondrop Chu 2, which one should I go for
Also these I guess

we knew since like last year bro
https://iemgazette.pages.dev/monthly-issues/january-2025/#kz-edc-pro-s tealth-revision
>>108619618
>QC?
quality control, chu2 often ends up "breaking" due to condensation
>What do you mean revised?
not the same as the original
>Also what about the Kinera Celest Wyvern
fine but bulky shell
>>
>>108619618
>QC?
quality control. paint chips out, gunk in nozzles etc look it up lol if you are in a humid environment probably a bad idea to get those
KZ often revises their POS so there's no guarantee that EDC pro you'll buy will be just like shit people reviewed and liked... tho I think it will be fine
>Also what about the Kinera Celest Wyvern
which one? there are like a billion of them... in general people did like wyverns from what I remember
but like whatever it's all pretty much the same pos. your own ear canal will fuck up sound signature much more than actual difference between these
>>
>>
>>
>>108619752
>>108619737
So I should go with the chu2? Because EDC are sold here a lot but if it's bad or just decent I'd rather not

Find a THX certified select speaker and look for similar speakers. I never think about the room size when picking speakers, you can just sit closer in a big room. But the bigger the room the wider you want the radiation of the speaker, because reflections get weaker. And/or toe the speakers out.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>108620978
EDX got stealth revision about a year ago so it is also good now. The graphs you find on squig from 2022 are irrelevant now.
Dawn is the best one with the smoothest treble anyways (better than EDC Pro).
>>108617724
For a desktop speaker room size is irrelevant. What's your budget?
