Does he know that USB-C is just an interface?
He's a Mac user posting on Reddit so probably not, but unless we're talking Thunderbolt dock type stuff, you can literally buy tiny little USB-A -> USB-C plugs and vice-versa. This is a non-issue. Just use the product that does the job.

I don't know why keyboard and mice even need those dongles still. You would think there has to be a better solution for that.
Why can't we have something like these dongles but integrated into PCs and laptops? Pairing would be automatic by plugging in the dongle but after that you don't need the dongle anymore and can free up the port to plug something else into it.

What this retard doesn't get is that USB-C uses a totally different control architecture than USB-A. So the controller chips are more power hungry. Long version: They will cost a fuckload more to add to the board. USB-A controllers are cheap and pleantiful but slower.

>USB-A flashlight
What the fuck is he talking about? Does he mean the default cable the flashlight came with was USB-A to USB-C instead of USB-C on both ends? Who cares, just use your own cable.
And if he genuinely bought a USB-A flashlight somehow, that's totally on him because all flashlights charge with USB-C these days.
