Hello guys, i have an interesting question about FM transmitting and such.
So i know a girl and i really like her, i've known her for a long time and while jokingly chatting she said she loves to listen to the radio on various FM station.
I told her it would be funny if i appeared on her radio out of nowhere and she went along with the joke and such. She complimented me various times for my skills in tech and about how i know so much about things. And i think this thing could really impress her, while also making me have lots of fun.
Now, let's say she told me which station/frequency she listened, could i, with an FM transmitter (maybe a 25w one) and a good antenna positioning overpower a commercial radio station, if im close lets say 200m from her house? I do not know what to say yet so if anything you can help with that.
the plan is to get a generator and power all the thing in my car, the antenna wont be in much altitude, but we don't live in a big city or modern one. so maybe the waves wont meet much obstacles besides walls. Also i'll lower the wattage so the signal wont spread too wide in the area.
i could more easily do this by my house and putting the antenna (a good one) on the roof, we live just 2km apart, a 25w transmitter would do the job, but i would then broadcast in a too wide area and i'll be caught i'm afraid...
What do you guys think? i calculated the dB of difference and by doing it in the car i would beat the commercial radio by 25dB, winning by distance, permitting me to comunicate to her radio.
Would it get me in trouble, even if i cover a small area? I love this girl and it would be awesome to say something to her this way.

Check the FCC regulations. They don't fuck around, they will rape you if they catch you doing anything

a little bit of FM transmission goes a long way, you don't need all that high power a transmitter or to be that close. The problem being, everyone else within range hears it as well, and radio stations do not take kindly to cunts broadcasting over their frequencies. I knew a few pirate radio crews back in the day and they would occasionally fuck with the local (legal) station DJs by transmitting the odd swear word over the top of them speaking on the same frequency. Station would get bombed with complaints, tho of course when they checked the tapes, no swearies.
Basically its illegal and broadcasting over an in-use frequency is going to get the station and licensed frequency user very annoyed indeed. But do it as a one-off, keep it *brief*, try not to dox yourself on air and you won't get caught. Probably. You'll be surprised who else hears it tho, you cant really target one property.

Get a 12v FM transmitter for cars off of Amazon and feed it a dedicated 12v line from a power source in a book bag or something. Use Bluetooth to send signal from your phone to the FM transmitter. They are basically short range signal hijackers that are legal to use.

wow, 20 miles is a lot, i would use this in the future anyways so im buying it, possibly with cash and direct from someone. Oh no i wouldnt dox her she has a common name so im using that.
Should i use a voice changer? or is it too paranoid?

this used to be a super common way of getting an aux line in your car. youd plug the tiny fm transmitter into the cigarete lighter port in the car, and it would broadcast your ipod or whatever on an fm frequency you could tune in the car. the annoying part was if you were stopped at a light, everyone nearby could tune it too
