Very interesting concept. I think humanity's wish for "eternal life" will be solved by this. Imagine your brain gets 1:1 copied, piece by piece onto hardware (or even software?). You wouldn't feel the process and your consciousness will be freed from its meat prison. Downside is, eternal torture will maybe become real aswell.. uh oh
