Why do non-programmers contribute to open-source project with AI-generated code and flood them with commits that add no functionality or fix anything, instead just spam the repo? They don't even know what the code did in the first place, what business do they have trying to participate in the development process?

Is it like...development DDoS?

Also I guess I could say the same about non-artists trying to post AI-prompted "art" on art websites even though there are glaring errors with it and the prompter just fills the site with stuff for...some reason.

Is it money?
