Is Apple subsidizing neo, or are they just scamming customers with their iphone prices? There's no way an iphone price matches a 13-inch laptop.

The chips are the bulk of the cost. Physical size is just form factor. They might be eating the cost of the screen at most but that's about it. The macbook neo is basically just an iphone/ipad in laptop form.

I suppose you are correct; the Neo chassis is relatively inexpensive, and the screen is likely affordable as well when purchased in bulk. Apple has crazy margins.

Worse, it's used cans.
However I guess it's better than post consumer plastics.

>It doesn't fit in your pocket
Wear it like a back pack on your chest or hang it in front of your erogenous zone like a giant belt buckle.
It has an real OS on a phone chip. It should also have 5g so I can telephone people instead of just messaging.
If nobody else sees this and nobody else complains, then everyone except me is a retard

for neo, apple are using "binned" or discarded iphone pro chips. These are chips that had defects. essentially free. very similar to how nvidia lower end GPUs are just misprints/defect versions of the high end chips

Laptop market is VERY competitive with next to zero profit margin thanks to HP/Compaq strategy of cutting corner pushing everyone to do the same.
Phone market has a lot more leeway in terms of pricing because everyone needs one.
