Update, I'd already posted here. Wanted to ask if y'all thought the face/head was alright, or if not. Would appreciate it.
>>

His face looks a bit scary, but in a way that's cool, I think it's because the lower canines, and lack of pupils. But I think structurally his head is constructed correctly, I don't see anything immediately wrong with it at first, nothing obviously crooked and such.

Some really good stuff in this thread! Trying out a pixel brush for this, maybe I should lean into the chicken scratch to give it a more crunchy texture? Background is going to be corn, I'll have to really think about this so I don't end up spending a million hours rendering leaves.

I think you're right, worse yet, it seems I completely misaligned the horns because I angled the line of her brows completely wrong.
I do struggle with symmetry sometimes, so this is not surprising, but I gotta stay on the lookout for mistakes like this.

And same, I love what they had on covers back then, plus all the fantasy/SF novel covers. I miss when they'd just slap Boris Vallejo all over a novel. So like, your color/theme totally slaps and hits the vibe straight on!

Nice, he's hot and the cheetah is cute, obviously, but also the background frames the whole thing nicely, people rarely bother making them. Plus, the fact that the piece is not explicit gives it a teasing playfulness that straight-up porn in its banality could never provide, it's the kind of blueballing that stops short of sating you but keeps you yearning for more. I mean, where would the fun be if it were all on display on a silver platter, know what I mean? The awestruck cheetah, the grumpy hunk of a tiger... A fun piece all around, well shaded too

Probably a lot of dedication and a bit of obsession. Seeing a drawing you made and planned moving must feel really gratifying.
And if you go by the animator's survival guide, learning animation is mastering a bit of cinematography, framing, movement and other animation fundamentals by grinding these skills over and over.

>>7894477
It's a lot of hard work yes, but it's actually less than what it looks like when you realize you don't need to bring every frame to a perfect finish. People aren't going to stare at a single frame for several minutes noticing every little mistake. It's only really the keyframes that people will notice, everything else is there just to support the illusion of motion, and can be a little dodgy.
And then when you look at a lot of modern animation and anime they employ a hundred different cheap tricks to avoid fully animating things the way the classics did. A character just standing there talking with their mouth going with two frames for minutes etc.
The way Richard Williams teaches it is how to do it the hard way.

You know this would probably work as a merger where you have both as one poster-image. Some kinda
"Think you can drink on a Sunday? Think again, our Goddess SEES ALL*."
/bottom text/
*"bring her a pint or else"
Both pics vibe super hard, guess this is where you just get stuck and go back to them in a month.
(or merge into one poster pic, no text needed, just one slightly ominous super cool pic. Because it vibes super cool.)

It works. I don't really use deviantArt so I can't follow you there but the images/characters "feel" anchored and "belonging to a greater whole".
Speaking of, saw the new update with "no one downloads images so were capping DLs at 10 images a week/40 a month for nonpaying, 150 for paying users"? After their attempts at NFT support and selling AI gens I wonder how long dA will last now?

I am trying to draw an anthro version of Marshmallow from Mewgenics.
https://files.catbox.moe/zzbrnh.png
I've run into this issue I always struggle with in more involved perspective setups, where I can't figure out how to draw these heavily stylized heads, in perspective, and not have them come out looking like goofy mascot heads, or other related issues.
Any advice? I need to adjust how I'm approaching this in such a way that it stops being such a massive problem for me in the future.
(I know I need to revisit proportions to make them match the stylized ref on the side)

>>
File: crop.png (38.4 KB)

>>7904318
When it comes to stylized heads in extreme perspectives I tend to treat it like drawing a circle/bump on a sphere.
But this just applies to flat or cartoony faces.
I'm not sure if you want the eyes bulging out or not but based on your angle tryouts on the left of your sheet, I am assuming that is not the case.

Find an artist who draws anthropomorphic characters that inspire you and reference their work, and incorporate different aspects of their design for your taste. If you are a beginner, I would look into the book called 'How to Draw Manga Furries', which is an amazing book filled with great examples and learn how skeletal structures work across different species. You can learn and do small studies by drawing real-life animals from life or photos.
Here are two good videos that come to mind when learning how to draw anthro characters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlP0bEOGfCg

I started drawing a month ago, 3 days ago I decided to go digital and managed to draw this guy. Any critique is of course appreciated.

Nearly, I'm a 470. Was thinking about hunting a spare but friend insists I should get something bigger if it ever corks it (doubtful so far). Plus the "had it too long, its family now" set in too hard by now.
It did end up with a weedwacker plastic cord for a pen nib though!

There's a tugboat,
Down by the river, don't you know?
Where a cement bag's just a-droopin' on down…
Oh, that cement is just, it's there for the weight, dear.
Five'll get you ten, old Mack, he's back in town

For what it's worth, I think buying a spare of an old model is a bit counterproductive, newer tablets all have pretty good quality from what I hear. But I get ya, I'm waiting for my old tablet to die but it is goddamn indestructible, they could make spaceships out of this thing.

>>7918386
Oh it absolutely is, but you know what brain does to you once you use something for years.
And that, I'm pretty sure software will become incompatible before the actual hardware corks out.

They look like they absolutely WILL tell everyone you didn't buy that brand new Tupperware set every other girl got at the book club meetup's sale.
(maybe buy more cement?)

Debbie? Probably shouldn't be a Debbie, but she's super cute nevertheless! Lets just hope the skinwalker shirt is just a metal band logo shirt and not anything more.
