it must really suck going through life and constantly craving what others have unless you can fly or shoot laser beams out your eyes, i don't really care
I follow the less poor artist archetype, worked on stem for a decade, saved enough so I can live minimalistically without financial worries in a shitty van, then just do art and crafts till eventually dying of cancer. Forger fame and luxury, not happening
What, you can't comprehend someone doing something as a hobby? Having a page would be a nice bonus, but it's mainly a thing I do for fun
>>7942151 >thread about art motivation >immediately starts talking about black people with no previous mention whatsoever What causes someone to become this mindbroken
>>7942109 >fame Everybody wants engagement or eyes on their work in some capacity, that's why we post our stuff online. It takes a lot of work to "chase" fame and most artists can't be bothered.
>money Again, it takes a lot of work to market yourself *well*. Most artists can't be bothered and aren't particularly business-savvy.
>passion projects So every artist ever? The discipline itself is already a passion project.
In conclusion: >If you aren't chasing fame, money, and passion projects... Then why the fuck are you drawing?
Because it's fun to create what I want with my own tastes, see myself improve, and create more new and interesting ideas. I refuse to inject the hustle-culture mindset in to my HOBBY. It's not my day job. Positive or constructive engagement from friends and peers every blue moon is the absolute bare minimum - not money, not fame.
>>7942109 Its actually agonizing to draw just because you love to and have people start acting like you need unsolicited advice 24/7 to make it into a shitty career the minute you get any good
>>7942109 My country is turning into a surveillance hellhole and I want to produce the things I love on my own without customs and police screwing me over.
