i think its kind of like the anime sub/dub debate in both stalker and metro they only put effort into the russian main dub since that was the language of the setting and all the other VO was kinda shit so a lot of people played like that me included

that being said i think we're a couple of years from all VO work /translation being automated. you can kind of already do it but it sounds like shit but its just a matter of time before it sounds good
