is the best way to learn a language simply to just make the subtitles of an english video be in the target language?
I think that would work for people who learnt the basics of the chosen language yeah?

good luck trying that with Japanese
they won't do romaji nor the original's word order

i think its still doable with kanji if you learn some of the kanji, im doing spanish tho
but what do you mean the original word order?

no, best is that language + subtitles in that same language. your brain will just focus on the language you understand

>TL audio
>bilingual subtitles
i think this would be the most ideal set up

not if your looking at the subtitles!

If you just listen to the language AND the subtitles at the same time you wont learn anything, i watched the simpsons in spanish for 10 hours a day for a month and it didn't teach me anything, i did not learn anything

You just need to learn more vocabulary then. At this point watching shit won't help you

this is where spanish subtitles to my native language audio comes in
>>

no thats retarded and assumed you already learned the letters, vocabulary. the best way to learn is to just listen to shit in said language and look up things when you dont understand after you learned some of it the hard way

Ok you seem set on this way so go for it. Personally Anki and just manually learning vocabulary was way more effective
