I'm legitimately confused, is bro crashing out because of modern supply chain logistics? Can't even imagine how he'd handle the days of having to call a guy(typically multiple) to go physically check inventory only to find out that they "can probably get one by next month"
>>
>>65073689
I'm convinced none of you guys are real. I don't like the idea that the guy in the shooting lane next to me is on /k/ posting weird shit like this >>65073627

Yeah imagine if you got hard when she was pegging you, she could hold that information against you for blackmail and force you to submit to her strap on any time she has a need to punish a disgusting male who has a head full of bad thoughts that aren't in the bible, god I would never go to a store like that can you imagine

Most FFLs are faggots trying to make their “nut” by getting you to fork over unnecessary money for a transfer or an slightly overpriced gun that they bought for cheap off of any of the major distributors (Lipseys, RSR Distributors, Iron Valley, etc) . They bitch about PSA undercutting them but they have shitty business practices that make people not want to buy from them because they gotta make their nut. Let’s just say I was in a job (not a gun store employee) that gave me a very unique perspective as to how FFLs (storefronts not home based peeps) operate and a lot of them are huge pieces of shit. Get one of your buddies to get a home based 01 Dealer FFL and save yourself the bullshit of dealing with LGS. Zog is handing out FFLs like candy rn.

I'm a nogunz so please forgive the naive question but it's customary in other retail spaces to put "in store for immediate pickup" or "in warehouse 1-3 days" or "on backorder" or whatever. I'm quite familiar with the concept of distributors (not the person you're calling a moron btw)
Is it not customary for gun shops to put a status on each item so customers don't walk in expecting something that's not there? The technology has existed for a while, this isn't some cutting edge thing

>it's customary in other retail spaces to put "in store for immediate pickup" or "in warehouse 1-3 days" or "on backorder
its customary for gunshops to have horribly outdated 90s websites that barely update or simply just lie about stock like optics planet
a store that did what you said competently is an extreme rarity.
>>
>>65075418
well then they shouldn't be mad when people walk in expecting a retail experience similar to just about any store operating in current year. if they can't keep their stock up to date at least they should put that on each product page. or hey they can keep seething when customers walk in expecting something completely reasonable. not my problem.

Last time I had a therapist I had to restrain myself from raping her on the spot. She wasn't particularly hot but for some reason being alone in a small room with her for thirty minutes really activated my monkey brain. I'd fantasize about bending her over the desk, pulling her panties to the side and haphazardly stuffing my half chub in her hairy jewish slit while I clinch her throat with my other hand.

That is true, and you will only get tht experience at some big gun stores, or at least the gun broker site. Most of the time gun stores have litterally zero online store, or the online "store" is 100% warehouse and the site lies about "not everything on the site is in the store"

Fun fact: a lot of guys who hire prostitutes/escorts just want a woman to pretend to be nice to them for a change, just about every "my life as a hooker" memoir mentions this, it really isn't about sex it's about women being vindictive awful creatures who need to be paid to be nice

This has always made me wonder why hostess clubs are only really a thing in Japan. Plenty of men in the U.S. that would pay to have a pretty girl share a bottle of middle shelf champagne and listen to them complain about their life for an hour or two. That feels like an untapped market.

Can someone explain to me why calling a store ahead before driving over is some arcane art lost to the ages? Or just placing a phone call in general? I'd rather spend 5 minutes on a call and get it all laid out and know they heard it than spend the next hour playing text tennis
>>
>>65078067
People under 40 consider it mildly rude to call when you can just text or write an email. People over 40 are usually in higher stakes positions so they refuse to put anything in writing lest it be held against them. Hence you get a delightful culture clash where people with authority are being rude to people who are trying to be rude, in order not to be held accountable, so they can throw people under the bus later.

There was a gun shop in Phoenix a while back that tried this.
Walls of guns, cases of pistols, all of which were "examples" and not actually for sale.
Yeah, it lasted a couple months before going out of business.
>>
>>
>>65078250
How about you pay a guy like 10follars to add an 'in store' option online so people can actually see online if they should go in order. Every single other industry does this, gun store owners are just jews that try ancient used car dealer tactics of "get them to buy something they didn't want"
>>
>>65078206
NTA but there is a ton of truth to this. I don't do business via text. Ever. Full stop. Anyone who does is an idiot who will either eventually learn it's fucking stupid, or be perpetually irritated business people will never consider them their 'bruh'.

Inventory turn-over in gun stores is fucking redunkulous. It wouldn't be "10 dollars", genius. It would be at least one full-time employee doing nothing but updating the shit you can see for yourself if you take your lazy ass off the couch.
>>
>>65078206
>refuse to put anything in writing lest it be held against them
Which is because they are retarded and if they would just be honest about things from the start and encourage less litigous culture it wouldn't be an issue.

>noo don't put anything in writing so that I can't throw you under the bus later nooo

Stock monitoring for warehouses is not that expensive to implement, you can do it automatically with an inventory management system. Do you think fucking amazon has a guy walking around a warehouse to count?
If you know how many you bought and how many you sold then you know how many you have left.

the average time a gun sits in a gunstore is around 272 days per NSSF statistics. Now that includes guns that move like hotcakes like Glock Gen 6s, guns that don't even last a day instore, meaning there are guns that take years to sell or literally never sell.

Small gun stores can't afford to hire a website manager, big gun stores have that but inventory can be off for a number of reasons (if they're a chain, usually the distribution center fucked up and sent them the wrong number of items)
>>65081761
Fucking newfag, what are you even doing here? The golden age of 4chan is long over.

I've been here since 2010. Its glaringly obvious that even since then, this website has gotten worse and worse. People complained about chanology, but that pales in comparison to the cesspool gamergate and the 2016 election turned this site into. This board in particular got turbofucked by the ukraine war. I just don't understand how some newfag could even stomach being here these days. I would've left long ago myself except as they say you're here forever. Btw, if I was a newfag would I be able to do this?

The problem is they don't know when they're being honest and when they're lying. They are such habitual liars that they have to assume anything they're about to say might be a lie. Those are the kinds of people who get ahead in life

Bro almost any POS system will do inventory management and you have to do audits for serials monthly anyway. Its a pain in the ass setting it up but as long as you just press the right buttons with every sale its easy as shit to keep accurate inventory
>>
>>65082509
I worked in govt regulated liquor retail and its sketch as hell, boss writes off thousands and thousands of dollars of merchandise because hes a rich boomer and can't figure out POS and inventory or just can't be assed to bother. Keeps accidentally switching off sales tax from the system, doesnt notice or care his employees or customers walking out the door with literally hundreds of dollars, keeps a notepad list with all the thousands of dollars people owe him that will never pay him back, management bribes staff with booze they dont pay for and just delete it out of inventory later. I was maybe one of two people on the staff that were actually licensed and authorized to work and that was good enough for the govt the one time they stepped in to look around and I happened to be the one employee that day. Im sure gun retail has its own nuances but I doubt theyre very competent either
>>
>>
>>65082509
Midwit isn't talking about simple inventory. He's talking about live-updated public access retail listings. Posting a POS inventory listing is of zero use for sales, as the description field, if there even is one, is rarely populated with useful public information. And resales of used shit, which is the MOST of what most gun stores do, requires creating a POS tag, with a useful description and price, and fucking posting it. Which is fucktardedly difficult, as a shitload of what stores sell don't stay on the shelf longer than 20 fucking minutes. You fucking cheeto-dust covered fat fucks should open your own stores to show how much smarter you are than the thousands of gun shop owners scattered around the country. Midwit.

Sensory input my guy.
For example, if a middle aged gun store women pegs you in the warehouse and you feel pleasure or pain, you can deduce that you are in fact real.

Statistically speaking they'll use those guns on other blacks, so you're just making a buck off population control.
There could be worse things.
