>over 60% of a penny per bullet
Granted. The ammo could still be quite expensive. Much the same way it is technically accurate to describe Shaq as being "over 2 feet tall".

I assume this is some sort of slide/engagement thread, because what you describe is perfectly inconceivable. Nobody could actually be that retarded, no one could buy into a new platform they're not familiar with and not spend a minute or two checking out the ammo situation. Like, you literally just go to ammoseek and enter the cartridge and see what comes up at what prices, maybe keyword search for a few specialty rounds if you're into that (for example for semi auto fun I enjoy have some choices in frangible ammo once in awhile, just because it's such a silly good time to shoot steel 5-10yd if you want to and see people freak out about how you're going to get hit by a ricochet lol). You can do a little history searching as well, just to get a feel for if cartridge prices have had any unusual pressure in the last few years.
And that's it. It's not a big deal, you don't even have to leave your chair. I doubt you even own a gun for that OP.

The projection is unreal here.
>doesn't understand how buying weapons actually works
lol? Here's how it works:
1. You decide one day you feel like a gun. If you want you can just go randomly buy whatever. If you are normal you spend a bit figuring out roughly what you want, and what the ammo situation is.
2a. You go into a gun store. You buy it.
2b. You go to somewhere online and see it has a gun you want. You buy it and have it shipped to a gun store. You go to said gun store and pick it up.
2c. You buy a receiver via gun store. You get all the rest shipped to your house.
2d. You make your own receiver. You get all the rest shipped to your house.
That's fucking it mr totally-owns-guns. Implicit in being an adult, assuming it's a gun you are getting for shooting vs pure collection, is that you also spend 30 seconds thinking about the shooting aspect.

>all these people coping or arguing about it
its just a shit situation, sucks but thats how it is these days, its just not cheap to larperate as a slav monkey any more
if you like surplus shit i reccomend you fix up a demilled subgun kit or build an a1 clone with a super safety

Ah yes. The halcyon days of 2012 when 7.62x39 was $0.18 per round or less and an Izhevsk made AK could be had for $850.

I guess, maybe OP really is that much of a faggot, but we're not talking 200+cpr snowflakium here either, it's just not 5.56 or 9mm cheap. 60cpr is perfectly decent for anything 30cal even if it's underpowered, that's a nice price to score a bunch of 300bo or 308 at. Yeah during the cold war drawdown/corruption-fire-sale surp got crazy cheap but that wasn't yesterday that was quite awhile ago now. I guess I find it hard to believe anyone THAT price sensitive is also impulse buying an AK based on looks.

Sure I have, lgs have had em. If I'm remembering right they tend to be $600-1100 depending on condition. Nothing terrible but not exactly a 10/22 at $250 either. And like, if you're at the fucking store and see one and want to impulse buy it you could also look at the boxes of ammo they stock right there too, like it's literally right over there just turn your head towards the ammo area.

you're an idiot, they hide all the ammo behind the counter and there are no price tags on any of it.
