Has anyone seen a show called the Fall from 2013? At one point the killer breaks into a home, rapes a woman and kills her brother. When he's caught he says the only one of his victims he genuinely hated was the brother for being too weak and pathetic to put up a real fight and save his sister. This incident with the incel is making me feel the same way. A lunatic is kicking the door down while the homeowner impotently pleads with him through a ring camera to pwease don't bweak in and kill my famiwy UwU" And then when he finally shows up rather than shooting the intruder all he can muster is to wave a snow shovel at him. Which the intruder apparently took from him and hit him in the head several times.What if he'd been bludgeoned? Then his pregnant wife and daughter would be alone in the house with a lunatic. A person this useless shouldn't be in charge of protecting a family.

Men these days fear the law and the consequences of defending their home, more than their ability to fend off an intruder. Not without good reason mind you, as some states(ahem new york, cali, illinois, etc) are actively against you using force and favor the criminal instead. This sometimes results in the defenders being prosecuted unjustly.
