For me it's just easier than saying that I'm in an incredible amount of pain and need society to pay attention to my needs at least once in my miserable life. Both action yield no results.

I mean yeah autism, but also I think a desire to 1) feel safer by trying to write yourself into the ideal world of people who hate you, and 2) feel better than someone else, ie racial minorities.

plus, white trans people (and nonwhite trans people, for that matter) get fed the same racism as everyone else. Many white trans people try to take what they've learned from being heavily marginalized and brutalized and apply it to other people (and also may realize that black and brown people are also trans), some have more trouble making that mental leap.
