Literally everywhere and everyone online talks about how hard it is to get insurance to cover trans surgeries, especially ffs.

I go to a surgeon, we talk about procedures, I get a ct scan, we talk more, we make a full plan with many changes to my face, we submit them to insurance.

Now I'm getting ready with loads of documents to help appeals when things get denied, like I'm sure they will. I've spent like a months worth of work just getting as many arguments as I could to go against appeals, hoping I'll be able to at least get the big surgeries.

Less than 24 hours though after my surgeon submitted to insurance though, I check my prior authorizations online and every single surgery was approved. Forehead, jaw, chin, nose, lips, cheeks, hairline, things that I don't even really want but submitted anyway because I thought it would be more likely for them to be okay with the big things if the small things were denied. Completely 100% covered, $0 cost.

When did this change? When did insurance start just blanket accepting this stuff?????
