Any books where the narrator laments and feels like his soul was stuck in a wrong body?
I don't have the genes to make it pro in football (european) and it's killing me, so I went the STEM/literature road instead.
Derrida and Camus also wanted to be pro footballers (mentioning this as an aside)

to humor you OP, I'm Scots-Irish but always wanted to be Greek or Italian that way I'd be less accused of being the perfidious Albion and not subjected to being blamed for the fall of the West like Jews. I'd also have a much more tight knit family and wouldn't be circumcised or have a fucked up relationship with my mother. I wish there were literature for that. Rachel Dolezal type literature but for chuds who feel they were born the wrong ethnicity.
