What was the first book you read that had an explicit sex scene, other than 1984? Pic related, I first read this when I was like 13. Just now reread it for the first time in probably 15 years and got a kick out of it.

Probably Disclosure by Michael Crichton.

This is the first time I've seen this book mentioned anywhere since I read it when I was 14. I have no clue why but it was on my summer before Freshman year Highschool reading list. I remember it was ahead of its time in hating boomers and Epstein shit. I have no clue if I would like it now but it was fun at the time

To answer your questions OP I feel like I must've read something with an explicit sex scene prior, like at the very least some sort of literotica or fan fiction. Maybe like a story on reddit. I have no recollection though. Fuck my CTE alcoholic brain's memory (I'm only 27 years old).

There's a book called "To Hell in a Handcart" by Richard Littlejohn, that my mother mistakenly bought me when I was about 11. The cover kind of makes it look like a Terry Pratchett novel.
Do a quick search on what that book is about.

a court of thorns and roses, it's chick-lit slop.

I'm embarrassed to talk about it.
