Not sure how to parse this but if you're saying that part 1 and part 2 will each be two-cours like they were 30 years ago I seriously doubt it. The original series had a lot of filler (I don't mean that pejoratively) which wasn't in the manga. Part I of the manga literally has a flying platform uber the girls between mashins which was destroyed early on in the anime so they'd have more opportunity for filler arcs.

I'll grant that Part II could be 2-cour even without the nova/debonair arc but they still won't do it. Khara's Gundam couldn't even get 2 cour.

It's amazing how common it was back then for dubs to change characters' names to appeal to non-Japanese audiences among other changes. Also, stuff like Kids' WB removing Sakura's name from Cardcaptor and skipping to Syaoran's first episode to try and make the show more appealing to boys. The Fox Kids version of Escaflowne skipped the first episode because it was focused on Hitomi for the same reason.

Stu Levy had two sets of proposed names for the girls in the manga too: Blaze/Nautia/Windi and Lustere/Marin/Wyndy.

Vic Ireland hated the TMS names and wanted to go with his own set of English ones for the game, but it ultimately worked out that they used the Japanese ones.

Different anon, but think PreCure is one example and that's because Toei trusted Saban's bullshit.

Voltron's stuck because WEP bought out the Go-Lion rights in 2010 (not immediately way back in the 80s as some Voltron fans think), so Go-Lion can no longer be in Super Robot Wars and there are legal issues between WEP and Toei so there aren't any home video releases in Japan.

Tatsunoko seemed to not mind the English reversionings of their titles, seeing as they still market "Samurai Pizza Cats" and approve of newer Speed Racer IP expansion. They're even allowing both "Gatchaman" and "Battle of the Planets" brands for merchandise, even if the latter's "show, but chopped up and localized" and there'd be no visual differences in the characters except the presence of 7-Zark-7.
