For it to be a serialized story with decent budget with a small cast where the villains of the week are extremely tied to the story
I feel like they can't realize a kaiju gimmick with the same amount of budget they're going for with Gavan Infinity
My biggest problem with Gavan Infinity so far is that I find the criminals of the week really boring for the most part, since these shows are half a year anyway I guess I'd prefer them to be a serialized story with not that many new characters so that the cast for the first season can still. Be developed but so that the enemies actually feel fun this time

I really don't get why Tomioka screwed up the enemies of the week this season, Boonboomger's motw in the episodes written by him were pretty fun and I'm saying that as someone that didn't like that show

The name/leaked premise has me hoping this is like a Metal Heroes version of Kaiju Ouji or Koseidon. Like that whole "savage world of monsters and aliens vibe" that kinda faded out of toku after Aizenborg

No, according to Shirakura the defining qualities of Project R.E.D are that the protagonist should have red in some shape of form but not necessarily their main color and that the world doesn't get reset after every show
He said they can be solo heroes like Rider and can also not necessarily be henshin heroes like how some of the Fushigi Comedies shows were

We were just assuming that the first few shows would be team-based to not overlap with Rider since they should be desperate for sales

Team's fine and the strange spiritual vein the show has through it is interesting. Also the first show to use digital compositing for special effects, which until then were drawn on to the frame.
