>>43287539 >Is it only me or the board is even more dead than usual? What do you mean? This is the actual /mlp/ board activity after the show ended and the dumpster fire that is G% making most of the board lose interest thanks to Hasbro's fuckups.
The background theme of the Nightmare Night episode's melody is a blatant copy of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" from Nightmare Before Christmas. Listen to the very opening of the episode where they flash the title side by side with the song, and you can see it yourself. Can't believe Disney never caught that lmao
I can't accept that Nightmare Moon was banished 1,000 years ago. I can't accept that after Luna was banished, ponies were still able to dream. I can't accept that Celestia defeated her the same night she transformed. I can't accept that NMM is the result of an external force, the Nightmare Forces, rather than Luna using her powers with no inhibitions. I can't accept that she didn't rule for several years while Celestia did everything she could, even letting her subjects suffer months of night, to find a way to save Luna, and the tragedy is that all Celestia needed to do was apologize and empathize. I can't accept that Celestia used the Elements of Harmony instead of her own power to defeat NMM.
I can't accept the entire foundational mythology of G4.

I didn't actually read that.
>>43287796 Not at all. It just doesn't make sense to me, but I've had this issue consistently. One of the reasons I can't take Japanese RPG stories seriously is because there is, invariably, something that happened 1,000 years ago. Chinese stories are even worse, with things happening millions of years ago resulting in blood feuds that exist in [present time] of the story. It's too ridiculous.
>All sorts of ideas, thoughts and questions are welcome, from the brief to the in-depth, especially ones that don't really fit elsewhere at the moment but also don't warrant their own thread either. Glad you all proved you're liars. Hope your pseudo-general dies another infant death like the last ones, you reprobates.
>>43288297 Twilight's gonna tell Fluttershy about Hitler and she's gonna be so peeved at you for using her face for that post. She's gonna call you naughty and rude and not her friend and everything.
Alright, I did my part, and the frog is dead. I trust the rest of you to keep shit from getting fucked again while I pass out for a bit. Hope I dream of ponies (I won't, I never do.)
>>43287762 Ew, no. She should have sex with me instead.
>>43287793 Just imagine up a better Equestria. It really isn't that hard, most of the hard work has been done for you. As a bonus, it will be tailored perfectly to your tastes.
>>43290061 PonyQuarantine on Twitter, findable under the same tag on all your favorite boorus. He does a lot of stuff with various OCs which I'm less fond of than the stuff that feels more linked to the show.
Been able to finish another chapter and almost finish a 2nd one, but I am starting to wonder if I should change how my story is set up.
At first I wanted to tell the story a non-chronological fasion with flash backs and such for a hook and to push through the more trite sections of the fanfic. But the more I write, the more I think that its these trite sections might make the latter half of the story more impactful. Maybe I just need to limit the flash backs. Maybe I should actually fucking finish putting everything in writing before I edit it. Things were much easier writing greens and short stories.
What's worse is that I have become busy with other things that get in the way.
>>43291060 The battle between just writing everything down and being more efficient and editing as you go is a classic one. I wish you the best of luck in figuring out what's right for your story.
