To add some more: I haven't heard a band in a long time able to do riffs. The microtonal gimmick is doing work. In addition to their clown act, the running up and down the scales is really driving the hype. A lot of bands are just chords, vocals and some bass.

This thread is classic /mu/ contrarianism. I can speak for us all when I say, deep down, we all appreciate this band and the music they play, it’s enjoyable and fun as is their aesthetic. However, we here at /mu/ resent and reject the average person just now finding out about microtones and prog rock and bands with aesthetic gimmicks, and that’s where the sore spot is coming from.

There is a song structure, it’s good for what it is.
