now that the dust has settled, what are your honest opinions on reggaeton?

Nothing of substance. It’s designed to make people of the opposite sex dance suggestively next to each other. It boosts birth rates. White people music has artistic merit, but it doesn’t make people want to have sex. That’s another small reason in a long list of reasons why white people are going extinct.

Shallow genre with no depth or expression, even Reggae dares to be homophobic.
Reggaeton is the equivalent of Teens Bop if teens were fanning their anuses to talmudic overlords

Amigos, por favor, help a gringo out.
I wrote like half a year ago that there's this Latinx song stuck in my head that I can't find and I don't know where I would have heard it. I did find something like it soon after, but there's never a thread so I couldn't post. It's merengue, not reggeaton, it's called Abuse a Dora.

But feels like it's still not it but similar. Is there a modern popular remix of it or something? Is merengue also like reggeaton that every song sounds the same? And where did I hear it? I was at this exhibition called Listen where they had music around the world, and there was spic music, but I couldn't find if this would have been there.

Perhaps it was Yo no onions abusadora https://youtu.be/W-MqMVmcl_I?si=KuG-T2jz5DDkVjVk which was featured in a movie. And yeah if you're not used to listening to merengue a lot of songs follow the same rhythm and melodies which can be repetitive.

Not my cup of tea. Feels formulaic and boring kind of like western pop but latino. I do like some Arca songs and more recently I think Sayuri & sopholov sound interesting. Other than that I think it's music to have in the background while partying and nothing else

some south african white guy keep playing stuff from there but to me it sounds just like reggaton... i wonder if there is some sort of parallel thinking that happened or its just south african musicians doing reggaton. anyone have a thought about this

Thanks, sorry I wasn't clear. I'm not looking for a song called Abusadora, I just found it and it sounds kind of what I'm looking for. The song in my head has basically the same rhythm and melody, but I remember it more with a deep voiced guy singing, and maybe another guy or maybe the same with a higher voice in some sections, and sounding more like a current song, but maybe I'm just imagining it all.
Also for thread: I listened to hundreds of reggeaton songs looking for my song, it's crazy, they all sound the same, and there are tons of musicians that each have dozens of songs with over 1 BILLION views on YouTube. And they all sound the same.

Mainstream pop reggaeton might be dull, but when it's some wonky breakbeat techno idm reggaeton it's fire. The same goes for dancehall.

Although the above is more of a parody. Here's a more sincere take on advanced cool reggaeton/dancehall:
