what the fuck, trent?
>>
>>129997956
No they don't. For example, in both Closer and Heresy, the details in sound/melody in both tracks have been substituted with 2020s BOOM BOOM BOOM TSSS TSSS TSSS
>>
This is just the Coachella gig with overdubs. And badly mixed.

Yeah nobody thought Heresy or Closer was weak the former is especially heavy as fuck, that album was a titan of the industrial genre in the 90s
>>
>>129997705
Not on Spotify
>>
>>130000427
yeah, in the 90s.
theyre weak nowadays
>>
>>130000495
Yeah and you haven't lifted more than 5 lbs of weight working out since 2008.
Big daddy Trent with his manly hairy python arms could lift you and throw you over the balcony of a stadium you weakling turd hahaha
This is electronic industrial metal music for powerlifters who eat pussy for breakfast with milk
Trent Reznor is a straight edge hulk adonis ready to throw you like a paper airplane

This. I thought it'd be new music, he quite literally said "New Material"

When it came out that it's just some Coachella live recording and then studio versions of the live remixes, all my hype for it was gone.

Will Trent ever release any new fucking music that isn't a rehash of his prior shit?
>>
the remixes are good but the crowd noises interspersed through the entire album are extremely gay
>>
because hes been washed since hesitation marks. Once an artist becomes washed you can safely ignore the rest of their work forever. Once you lose the spark you dont get it back
>>
>>129997977
im curious what Closer will sound like in his direction and thats about it for my interest in the album
>>
I thought his live set was great but I guess we all hate it now. Didn’t we previously say it was his best concert ever?
>>
>>130004979
>Didn’t we previously say it was his best concert ever?
Coachella? I haven't heard it until the official release tonight.
It's just Trent compensating for his old and worn out voice. His mic mutes whenever it gets to a note he can't do, and the vocals from the original song replaces it.
>>
>>130004979
idk form your own opinions jfc
>>
>>130003277
>Will Trent ever release any new fucking music that isn't a rehash of his prior shit?
all he's done after 1999 is shit, and he must be aware by now. so there's just no point
>>
>>130006371
>all he's done after 1996
The last good thing was the Quake 3 soundtrack, which ofc liberally uses FLA.
>>
>>129997705
It's good. It's exactly what it says on the cover. Also the Coachella show was awesome
>>
>>130004756
The EP trilogy was good though, maybe even great
>>
>>130004990
>aging artist is able to accept his own physical limitations and decides to go in a different direction
Holy based Trent. Wish more artists did this to save themselves from embarrassment
>>
>>130004990
I saw him live and he had zero issues singing. If anything, he sounds better now than when he was a nasally teenager.
>>
>>130004979
I thought the Peel it Back tour was the best I've ever seen. Sure he's getting on and Cortini was taking a large bulk of the vocals but it was the most put together live show i've ever seen from them.

I also really like the Boys Noize mid set, but the crowd were fucking geriatrics trying to keep still for their atrial fibrillation monitors.
>>
>>130007376
I guess it is pertinent that although he can't do anything remotely powerful anymore if we're being honest Trent was always an extremely limited singer.
>>
Should have been called Nine Inch Males
>>
>>130009254
Nine Inch Boyz
>>
iam guy who has an original key from one of the smashed keyboards from the fragile tour on his shelf.

i cannot believe what bullshit he does by now. the mediocre tron ost is official nin. a colab with a fucking dj is now official nin.

listening to this right now and i remember that remix site he ran years ago. there were fan remixes which were better than this.

this record makes me sad.
>>
>>130009995
shut the fuck up unc
>>
>>130008850
Nah, I saw NIN in 1995, when Trent was at his absolutely creative peak and was still brimming with angst and energy. It was the same vibe as the Woodstock set, just less mud. I saw them on the Peel tour, twice, and nowhere near as good as the TDS era.
>>
>>130010146
>unc
>>
>>130010186
hes still in his TDS era thoughbeit
>>
>>130010220
He still recognizes TDS / Broken / PHM are his hit makers (since they still make up a bulk of live shows) but the violent edgy angst is gone. Even the way he sings now.. throwing in 'WOAH' and 'YEAH' and 'HEY' in between verses, like hes fully embraced being an old dad rocker and hes just having fun. Vastly different than when he was full of no nonsense hate and heroin and you really felt like he wanted to smash a keyboard over your skull.
>>
Was never a fan and this collab wasn't danceable enough
>>
>>129997705
Because he hasn't put out anything good since the 90s
>>
>>129997705
I enjoyed it a lot, but then again I love ebm and the like. It's a good take from old songs, Trent and company know they shit about making good remixes. I could dance and jump through the whole record/set, it accomplishes its goal.
>>
>>129997705
OINE?
>>
>>130010296
>unc
this. i aways cringe when the WOAH and the HEYYY
>>
>>129997977
dancers are cringe ouch. cool set tho
>>
>>130010756
Nothing is as cringe as his Hesitation Marks tour live sets with three Black Womyn backing
>>
>>130006813
>shit is based exdee
It's hardly a step removed from pop "singers" lip syncing over a pre-recorded vocal track in "live" performances.
>>
>>130010784
If they're putting in hard choreographed dance work no-one cares if they're lip synching. That's my view with the singing, yes he's kind of half hearting the singing these days but you're seeing a crazy amount of stage production.
>>
>>130004756
So when was your moment of truth that ignited that spark that gave your creative career the extra leverage inspire fans to shell out their cold hard fought cash to sell out shows?
Post your bandcamp or some song you made
You'd nearly kill yourself trying to draw a stick figure
>>
nin was one og my favorite bands growing, but i didnt really care for their releases post with teeth and also dont listen to the old albums that often anymore.
I really really like this new one. It is a bit bone headed and no new material but the production an sounddesign is super polished. Its a great album for working out, having sex, doing drugs. Tho I have never done any of those things in my life.

I am literally a professional portrait artist (picrel) and guaranteed far more skilled than you are. And if I had no skills at all it doesnt change the fact that the nigga been washed for decades. I don't need to be a michelin starred chef to know when something tastes like ass.
>>
Im an oldhead fag but I still think Year Zero was his obvious peak.
>>
>>130011362
his peak obviously was pretty hate machine
>>
>>130011362
I do still think TDS and the Fragile are his best, but Year Zero is right up there with them. fantastic album.
>>
>>130011339
I'm not the guy you're responding to but posting that isn't helping you. Your work clearly shows you have no understanding of the forms you're describing, so let's take it easy on the "far more skilled" talk.
>>
>>130011339
Don't get me wrong, that's a good drawing and I'd be impressed if a friend did it but it's really not a great example as a supposed professional. Also is it the view from an anus for a vore commission?
>>
>>130011661
>>130011674
go ahead and post your work anons, I did. Unless you're a scared, no talent faggot of course?
