>Nobody wants to play guitar
It might not be as popular as it was in the 70s but it's still popular. If you want to make music it's a good thing since most just make beats in logic, less competition and more ways to stand out.
>>
>>130008558
I've seen some middle aged dork nerds on YouTube that do. They all sing the no pussy blues in perfect key.
Remember that scene in the 40 year old virgin when they went to his apartment? It was just like that but in real life.

at least you can go to guitar center and try a guitar before you buy it
buying a guitar online sight unseen is beyond retarded. the only reason you would do that is if you were some sort of agoraphobic shut-in afraid of the world and need everything shipped to your door like a cave fungus
>>
>>
I remember when Mike Patton lied and said he couldn't tour because he had become agoraphobic during the pandemic.
He really just didn't want to get the clotshot to tour overseas though and didn't want his soiboy fans to know he was secretly a chud who "did his own research" lol

the last time i bought a guitar online i returned like 4 of the same model until i got a light one lol

So yeah their album (Medulla) tanked because of that.

I could, I just don't want to because nowadays, a basic setup, some good plugins and learning how to EQ and mix can have you sounding solid to superb. Buying more than that is stupid nowadays unless your musical success justifies it.

its honestly a pretty good toy for guitar. it records really well, has 4 tracks, and has synths and drums to fill out a track. on its own it's kind of just a toy, but recording organic guitar into it fills out what it's missing

Okay what am I doing wrong? It’s like this pedal consistently needs a boost like a Klon clone at all times to sound decent. The Blues Driver doesn’t need any boost to sound right, and it’s like the TS needs two boosts. am I doing something wrong? Should I be changing amp settings between the two for a fair comparison ?

did you add chorus or something why is it so watery. the original is just strat direct into rocker 15 clean channel cranked to breakup. no EQ but running it through another amp sim is like plugging your amp into another amp
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>130011744
>Is shielding worth it?
it doesn't really do anything. 60 cycle hum is not going to stop if you shield your guitar. it might reduce interference from other shit but you can not find an example of 'shielding' reducing noise on a single coil guitar. go ahead and try. it's cope.
this is why people put humbuckers in the bridge for high gain music. turn down the gain wigger or get a different guitar

I have more respect for Squier players than I do MIM players. Being a loser and OWNING it with a Squier logo is the move. MIM players are also losers, but they save up for another two weeks to get the "Fender" logo, which they obviously can't comfortably afford (if they could they would get MIA with zero thought) is the bitch move.
>>
If your guitar is a Squier you should feel bad about it because it means you're poor. It should be a source of constant embarrassment that drives you to level up financially so you can afford a real instrument one day. Then you can forget about the days when you didn't have any money for a good guitar.
Poorfaggotry should be ridiculed, not embraced or accepted. It's like those fat women who tried to make fat acceptance mainstream.

>muh webdev
fuck off. you know all you do is look at webpages and run fake guitar amps. and Apple is and always has been WAY better for music software, so you're showing your ass here, poorfag
>>
>>130013073
Mustang pickups are more or less Strat pickups with flat pole pieces and a plastic cover. Sometimes they have less output, sometimes they don’t. Scale length plays a part, toanwoodfags would argue the wood makes a difference, the Strat vibrato springs might make a difference
>>
>>
>>130013233
>le contrarian non-listed option
>>130013236
that's fine, they tend to be great bass players
>>
>>
What's the whole point of the tonewood wankery? It makes a difference when playing without an amp, but once you hook it up, it doesn't. As long as it's a harder wood that's climate resistance so your intonation doesn't get fucked every few weeks, that's all that matters. Or am I missing something?

>>130013296
I just don’t like softer woods that dent easier. Every basswood and poplar body guitar I’ve had gets dinged when if it was something harder like ash or mahogany it wouldn’t have even marred the finish.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>130013331
AFAIK softer woods like that tend to react more strongly to humidity changes as well. Everything I have nowadays is mahogany because it's tough.
>>130013336
I got my two BC Rich basses and they give me everything I wanted, sound-wise, and my SR905 had Bartolini pickups that I really hated by then. I could sell it off to make some money back instead of spending more money on it to replace the pickups.

even acoustic tonewood is balancing high and low frequency response with durability, it’s just that the actual great tonewoods already have both and are easy to work with. everyone I’ve ever heard talk about real Brazilian rosewood said that it’s easy to carve and bend and sounds great on a tap test. I think walnut will be the next great tonewood; the gibson j45 studios sound great with it

I can see it with acoustics, but with electrics, it goes out the window once you play through an amp. Your electronics don't care about the wood they're embedded in.
