For the bellow average iq american anything turns into a political issue and a matter of religious belief. Thankfully some of them dont have these shackles and advance technology.

Yeah but making 500 rwhp with sub 3 grand via a ford big block, a DIY porting job, and various other bits and bobs etc is funny

I used to be like this, and it's true that keeping smol high output engines requires more skill, but ever since junk car brands picked up on the trend and ruined its legacy, the bigger displacement NA and turbo engines are looking better and better

Correct. There is no replacement, only cope. Forced induction is cope. All else being equal, the larger engine performs better. For a given power level, a larger engine is less stressed and will generally last longer. Midwits confuse and conflate racing regulations, government regulations, comparing turbo to NA, and other such variables when forming their cope arguments. The enlightened enthusiast either enjoys his smaller displacement vehicle for what it is, or seeks out something more.
God I love big engines.

it seems to me like you either don't understand the relationship between hp and tq or you're just pretending not to however i am willing to consneed if you're able to shut me up be posting a pic of a big boy engine hanging out in one of your cars.

technically yeah.
even with loads of boost you will hit the wall eventually and the only way to make more power will be more displacement.
>>28909117
well iirc more cylinders does/did result in more power and thats the one of the reasons why ferrari liked using v12 engines.
i dont really get exact science behind that but my guess is that with more cylinders you get more power strokes for the same displacement, resulting in more power.
Thats the reason why rotaries make so much power from such small displacements, they have like three times the power stroke compared to regular 4stroke.

More cylinders allow for smaller pistons which can be used to make more rpm and more rpm = more horsepower. More power stroke pulses do contribute to more power but simply because more cylinder = smoother spin = higher rpm ceiling = mo powa. The only real limit is volumetric efficiency in rpm range optimization, increasing area of torque in the power curve, and last boost for 100%+ volumetric efficiency (boost has the flaw of lag, sure you can use boost to build more power but big dick displacement can just out punch boost, by the time the turbos spool, the big NA motor is already gone, lag sucks and boost is overrated, big dickplacement NA motor is the way to go, only reason for turdbo is to have power while fitting into gay emissions regulations)

The 6L will make that on single digit boost while the 3L will need upwards of 20psi. The 6L will be much more "drivable". Displacement is king.
>>28912510
It would be pretty hard to make that little if you're talking aftermarket. People street drive Vipers that make over 3000hp. Twin turbo big block V8's in promods are making over 6000hp these days. Where are the 6000+hp RB's, 2J's or B58's?
