I just went on an "entire family" vacation with my wife and two kids. As we were pulling out of the driveway, my wife's Kangoo started making some suspicious looking smoke, so we unpacked everything and loaded into my Twingo. That car has a ridiculous amount of space. When we arrived at the (family-friendly) resort and parked, every other car in our area was a grey SUV. It was a good trip. Since I was driving slowly with the family in the car, I got the best fuel consumption I've ever had in that car.

Twingos truly are the greatest thing to ever come out of France.

Well, what kind of family are we talking about, where's the vacation going to be?

Gay. Your little fantasy, that is. The car is fine.

Can confirm we went on holiday in one of these several times. It was the 150 SRi with the 2.2 that was sweet but prone to death.

tbf that is still a wide ass brush for a lot of variables.

UK would be ford escort OR vauxhall vectra. France had a lot of citroen picassos crammed with families. Can't answer for the US, Canada, Mars or the other euro countries.

in the noughties they drove cars from the nineties because they were poor

depends on the part of europe. in germany and benelux it would have probably been station wagon versions of series 3 bmw/a4 audi/mercedes c class or vw passat for poorfags, in france maybe renault laguna or peugeot 407, while in the rest of europe i don't think you'd really see a strong pattern. italians for instance don't have to drive far to get to their vacation spots so you would have probably seen them in just about all kinds of fiat shitboxes

Early Octavias were minicabbed to death, few survive. There's an eighties Primera a few doors away.

Mutts will never know the joy of a family summer trip through the bullet riddled ex-yugo towns in a B5 Passat.

Why even live?
